Short Property Description
You are welcome to join me on my self-sufficiency journey on 7.5 acres of beautiful land in Macedon. I keep a vegetable garden, numerous fruit trees, chickens, a cow and heifer. There is plenty of comfortable accommodation. The food is mainly home grown vegetables, fruit, eggs and home raised beef.
Volunteering includes building garden beds, gathering firewood, taking care of the animals, weed management, fire prevention and other activities as they arise. We are four kms from the nearest town and train station, with lovely walks that start at the doorstep. Longer stays can be arranged if we are well suited to each other,
Barbara
PS: Getting back to WWOOFing after 2 years of non availability. Looking forward to meeting some great people and getting my place back to work. So many out of control weeds. Lots to do. Looking forward to nice spring with things in better order.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
Recommended by a friend, so I tried it, I have had mostly very positive experiences with the WWOOFers I have hosted. It has been a great learning experience for me and, they tell me, for them too. My visitor log book has many wonderful memories in it that I often look back on. It has also made it possible for me to manage my place which would otherwise not be possible.
Through the many young people and our many conversation over weeding gardens or eating meals; I also got to see the world and their countries through their many diverse eyes. Such a wonderful gift.
