Personal Bio

My name is Taz and I am a bubbly, fit and healthy Wwoofer fan from Melbourne.

I absolutely love the outdoors, animals, nature, growing food and making a difference in the community and peoples lives.
I am hoping to venture around Australia to experience all aspects of different farm life and contribute to our amazing country.

During 2019, I had such an incredible experience in the USA where I worked at a summer camp running a program to engage with the kids and teach them about nature, how to look after animals and also took them on hikes. We looked after pythons, guinea pigs, geckos and tortoises. 🙂

I also went Wwoofing at a Lavender farm in New Jersey with baby goats and chickens. I spent time with a family for 3 weeks, looking after baby goats and chickens, ensuring they were fed, plenty of water and put to bed each evening. I also got involved with weeding and harvesting of lavender and calendula which was hung in the drying shed.

At home I like to go to the gym, face paint at events, get creative with candle making and enjoy performing in local theatre shows.

Why I joined WWOOF

I have joined Woof as I got a taste of farm life and I am excited for more experiences and learning. It gives me absolute joy when working on a farm where I can contribute and make a difference.
