Short Property Description
A biggish property on the rugged Tasmanian West Coast. The house is an old Tasmanian homestead overlooking Mount Black. The famous Cradle Mountain and lakes on its doorstep.
It has native gardens, fruit trees, vegetables and herbs. Beautiful native birds and animals visit day and night. There are lots of little sitting areas and a place to camp outside and enjoy the view. There are 3 wood stoves for those cold days and nights. The combustion stove is used for cooking in winter.
I am an active hiker and environmentalist and love exploring Tasmania.. The natural world is a very big part of my life. It is important to me to live in a sustainable way, live with nature. And Enjoy Life!

Why I became a WWOOF Host
I was a WWOOFer many years ago. The experience left a wonderful imprint on my mind. I therefore understand what type of experience woofers are wanting. It’s not all about work! For me it was about interaction and learning. Learning new skills, and learning about the environment and organic sustainable living. Plus I enjoyed little trips into the wild with my hosts.
I would love to pass on my knowledge to WWOOFers who have a passion for organic sustainable living. Learn through doing..making gardens and structures for living and for the natural world. And for those who like to walk in the wild.
