Hello, I have come back to Australia to sit out the Covid pandemic after working in Malaysia as an architect for the past nine years. I worked at what I call the ‘coal face’ of urban development- commercial architecture – and my work involved leading design teams and integrating ecologically sustainable design into development proposals as best I could.
I left commercial architecture late in 2019 to work with a travelling theatre company who were bringing a tree planting / environmental arts programme to rural and remote communities throughout Malaysia. The Covid shutdown has put that project on hold, but in the meantime, I feel strongly the need to develop my practical skills in regenerative farming so that I may be better prepared for when it comes back.
Why I joined WWOOF
I have become a WWOOFer to reconnect with the land and learn about regenerative farming as part of my new direction in life after so long living in cities.
