Full Property Description
Our property borders the Creswick State Forest and runs along the banks of Slaty Creek. We are blessed with a plethora of wild life, native birds, kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas.
There are bush walking and mountain bike trails, gold panning and fossicking and we are within walking distance of the beautiful St Georges Lake for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
The local town of Creswick has two hotels a wine bar and a French Patisserie for downtime entertainment also a Championship golf course at the Forest Resort.
Our seasons are pretty regular we plant in April and from then to November our work pretty much involves weeding and compost making. From November to April is our busy period harvesting, cleaning garlic, preparing the beds and mulching them for next years crop.
We have a separate cabin for accommodation that has a double bed and a roll out single bed but toilet and showering facilities are within the main house.
We love our food and eat a lot of our own produce. Meal times are always a bit of an event.
We have unlimited superfast Wifi broadband and good mobile reception.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
Both Lisa and I have travelled extensively in our lives and have been shown extraordinary hospitality in many countries. We are both social people who love to cook and share food.
Also we are excited by the sharing of our organic knowledge. Hence becoming a Host is a natural progression for us.
