Short Property Description
We are a permaculture and arts inspired community south of Adelaide, of >250 adults & >50 children (2021). Our property is 32 Ha, made up of ~170 private residential lots, large areas of common land including an all-purpose ‘sharing shed’, & a 12 Ha farm that we share. Near to Port Willunga beach, several cafes, a pub, a microbrewery, restaurants, a bakery & an organic store. We have about 2000 fruit and nut trees.
WWOOFers volunteer roughly half the time in the host’s garden/neighbourhood, and the other half on the community common land. Volunteering includes various orchard jobs according to the season, weeding, pruning, netting, harvesting & processing fruits, native plant propagation & planting, veggie garden maintenance, and sometimes helping with chicken/goat collectives.
