Short Property Description
We run an organic meat and wool business on a community title farm near Canowindra in NSW. We have hosted woofers for more than 15 years. We live in a straw and earth house which we built ourselves. Andrew has a background in soil science and agriculture. Margie is a trained permaculture designer and community facilitator.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are organically certified and practise holistic grazing management and low stress stock handling techniques.
Rayz Organic Grazing uses regenerative land management techniques including: Time control grazing, Holistic Resource Management, Pasture cropping, Multi species cover cropping, Certified Organic Farming.
All of these techniques mean that our farm demonstrates how grazing animals can build the ecosytem function in the landscape – while providing healthy products.
