Short Property Description
We are Organic farm & Primary Producers on 180 acres at Mt Douglas surrounded by bush, sensational views & plenty of wildlife. We farm cattle, commercial vegetable crops, eggs & honey. A rainforest has been established.
Farm jobs include gardening, fencing, crop harvesting & animal care.
Accommodation in renovated farm house. Meals with family 1-2 times per week. Non-smokers preferred. No smoking inside. Mixed diet. Families welcome. Closest stations are Dungog & Martins Creek. Negotiable stays after initial visit.
Barrington Tops NP & Hunter Valley wineries nearby.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We follow the methods and principals of organic farming, and have been applying these principals for the last 25 years. We were members of a registered organic certifying body until last year, but decided not to reregister as the clerical work now required, just became too onerous, for a small farm growing many different seasonal crops.
