    ABOUT MYSELF

I have got Australian/German dual citizenship, living in Australia for about 25 years. I have travelled to many countries, however I am now looking to settle down somewhere to live on and from the land. I like meeting people, but don´t mind quiet time by myself to think and explore. Nature and learning about it has always been my passion. Being in natural environments, land and sea, is what I like the most. The Outdoors and adventures make me feel alive and happy. Interests include kayaking, bird watching, bush walking, spearfishing, SCUBA diving, traveling, growing food, cooking, different cultures and lifestyles and the list goes on…

I am flexible and experienced working in remote/isolated locations.

I am a fit worker, personable character enjoying a healthy lifestyle enthusiastically participating in sports and exercise.

    REASONS for joining WWOOF

I am joining WWOOF because I like the idea of giving and receiving knowledge, skills, experiences and help without the use of money.

Due to a vehicle accident in 2019 (injuries now recovered) work opportunities I am qualified for were few, now we have the corona crisis, so I thought to myself do something you like – go wwoofing.

    EXPERIENCES I AM LOOKING FOR

Experiences I am looking for include, new techniques of organic food growing; understanding the ecology of a place land and sea; grow my own food; set up gardens for others; permaculture; companion planting; caring for animals; animal husbandry, preserving food and cooking in different countries. I want to learn how to set up my own piece of land/farm may be including tourism and wwoofing. I always like to learn. I like to meet people.

    WWOOF AND OTHER VOLUNTEER  EXPERIENCE

First time I went woofing was 2005 in Italy. I worked as a volunteer in Australia for more ten years. Mostly I worked in National Parks and on Indigenous Lands across three states SA, NT, QLD. This includes work in pest and weed management, bioregional assessment land and sea, impact assessment, tourism on land and at sea. I volunteer teaching languages, planting trees, etc.

    My STRENGHT and SKILLS

I am sure I can bring some skills and knowledge to your place.

My professional work/study/training include fields such as natural resource/land management, marine ecology, indigenous land management, tourism/guiding, teaching (sports and languages), electrotechnology.

(Bachelor of Science Degree, Diploma in Land Management and trade certificates).

I studied and practice the permaculture way, I have been gardening in the tropics, subtropics, deserts, cold climates and Mediterranean climates. I have got a green finger, so I`ve been told. I try to manipulate the ecology of a place to create growing environments.

With part of my career being in electrical/mechanical/building trades I can be useful in developing, constructing, repairing many things needed on the land. I am good with my hands, tools, instruments and machines.

I have licences and experience to drive tractors, forklifts, trucks, busses, boats, 4×4, dirt bikes etc.

    That’s enough of self-advertising I guess.

I have attached two of my written WWOOF references  from Croatia and Greece 2017 .
