Hi! We are two gals on a working holiday in Australia. Marilene is a Greek/Finn anthropology student and Emily is a future Doctor of Medicine from the US. Our hobbies include biking, running, and hiking.
We are both excited about exploring the outdoors in Australia and we think WWOOFing is a great opportunity to do just that. We are especially interested in permaculture and regenerative farming. We have some experience of helping out our friends and family in gardening and small scale farming. We are very eager to learn new things, live with locals, and get to know more about different ways of life in Australia. As workers, we have been characterised as kind, curious, hardworking, detail-oriented, and creative. We are looking forward to meet our future hosts!
Why I joined WWOOF
We joined WWOOF because our ambition is to learn more about farming and hopefully embrace it as a part of our future lifestyles. Marilene is from a family which has a long history of farming in the Greek islands and Emily has spent a majority of her childhood and youth exploring the many national parks of the US. Exploring nature and sustainable living are close to our hearts and we see them as crucial parts of ensuring a safe future for our planet.
