Full Property Description
We are currently not hosting any new volunteers due to the COVID-19 situation.
If you are interested in intentional community life, then we invite you to spend one week with us. During this time you will meet many of our members and experience life on our precious mountain.
To find out more about us, please see our website and/or facebook page.
Accommodation is shared dorm style rooms and bathrooms either in the lodge or in a member’s home. Breakfast is provided for you to make your own, and lunch and dinner provided by your host on that day. For free days, food will be provided for you to prepare yourself.
We are an off-grid community. This means that we cannot accommodate the use of appliances like hair dryers, straighteners, irons, etc. You will need to be mindful of your power consumption during your stay.
Wifi is available in the lodge, but limited to downloads only in off peak times. Mobile phone reception can be poor/weak, depending on your provider.
Each day you will be hosted by a member who will guide you through various work tasks such as home, garden and property maintenance. Experience with manual labour and outdoor tools is preferred.
Please bring APPROPRIATE OUTDOOR WEATHER CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR. It is often cold, wet and windy.
Generally we ask for 3-6 hours for 5-6 days, 1-2 days free which we will endeavour to organise a local outing for you.
We wish for your stay with us to be unique, enjoyable and memorable. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Sharni Steel via email.
