I am about to embark on a dream of a lifetime. In the next 6 -12 months the plan is to travel Australia visit and walk as many National Parks as possible and learn more about Indigenous history and culture.
During this time I would love to supplement my experience by working on organic farms. A dream of mine is to move to the country and live as sustainably as possible. In a younger time I worked on a friends farm briefly in Canada and had a great time looking after animals such as Alpacas and pot bellied pigs.
Being immersed in nature is one of my favourite things as is gardening, renovating, camping, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding etc.
I have worked in IT, HR and Hospitality and enjoyed the difference. I will be heading off on my adventure in late Jan early February 2020 and I am looking forward to do doing some hard work and learning about working on an organic farm.
Why I joined WWOOF
I joined WWOOF as I wanted to be able to connect with people who would like some help and can also pass on some of their knowledge. I have a lot to learn and learning on the job is a great way to do it.
Learning organic farming practices and meeting interesting people are what I am hoping to get out of this experience.
