Short Property Description
We are a historic homestead dating back to 1865 in Lilydale. We are on 65 acres and have a hobby farm which includes, 14 sheep, 4 goats, chickens, dogs and a cat.
We have a garden veggie patch, paddocks and gardens/grounds that need maintaining. We have a two bedroom weatherboard cottage for WWOOFers. It is rustic and old but cosy. It has a log fire, kitchen bathroom and toilet.
We are a busy family with our own business in Melbourne. We have four children (2 at home, 2 moved out) and it would be great to have assistance around the property.
There is a bus stop at the end of our driveway to the nearby town of Lilydale (2km), with busses and trains to melbourne- under 1 hour.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are a hobby farm and have a small amount of animals which will need to be feed daily, and paddocks need to be maintained. We have set up a new veggie garden which requires daily maintenance, and general gardening around the property.
You will be working with our gardener twice weekly and other days on your own.
