We are a family of 4. Nadia, Jesse, Master A (6yo) and Miss A (4yo). We have always dreamed of traveling Australia and the time has arrived. We decided to sell everything and to live a more simple and more satisfying life in a van.
We are dreaming of establishing our own mini farm growing our own food and becoming self sufficient as much as possible.
Jesse grew up in NZ, and used to live near an orchard where he used to work for several years. Jess is a motor mechanic by trade, but also used to work as a landscaper. Nadia grew up in Slovakia and met Jess while traveling in the UK.
Nadia’s ‘professional career’ skills is in risk, compliance, governance, recruitment and HR within the health sector and she is very good at various admin tasks. Nadia loves cooking nutritious meals and enjoys feeding her family and friends and organising get togethers around food. Nadia is interested in concept of food as a medicine.
Together, while traveling (before having kids) we also worked on various vineyards, orchards & farms across Australia, NZ and UK (e.g apply pruning, picking, rouging, zucchini picking, leaf plucking and vine training, potato sorting…etc).
All four of us love music, outdoors and fun.
Why I joined WWOOF
We would like to experience farm life and what our kids to see where the real food comes from. We want to learn new skills that we could apply in our future dream mini farm. We are keen to meet like minded people.
