I am a young woman originally from the South of France but arriving straight from New Caledonia. I graduated a few months ago with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the University of Noumea, and after that I decided to take the time to discover a bit more of the world by coming to Australia. As the daughter of a military I had the opportunity to travel but now I want to make my own experience in a new country and take advantage of it to learn the language. I always adapt myself to the environment I am in, in France I was in the countryside and enjoyed horse riding, in New Caledonia I turned to another sensation: kitesurfing. I have had several professional experiences in my little life, ranging from cleaner, to accountant, barmaid and trainee in financial analysis. So I’m not afraid to put my hand up for any task.
Why I joined WWOOF
It’s been 3 months since I arrived in Australia, I’m on the Gold Coast and I’ve been working as a cleaner since I arrived. But I would like to see something else, really share with Australians. I don’t know if you’re aware of it but there are a lot of Caledonians on the Gold Coast so finally since I arrived I’ve been seeing the same people I was seeing in New Caledonia and nothing has really changed except that I have to order in English at the restaurant. So I want to learn more about this country, changing places, talking with locals and giving my work force if I can too.
