Hi, I’m Sophia my husband is Ben, and we have a Master Darcy and Miss Jacinta. New things are happening for this family pausing from mainstream life to contemplate and reinvent. It is very easy to get caught up in the small stuff and have no time for the grand design.
My family has decided we want to visit new horizons and to live the gypsy life for a while. We want to find and discover new possibilities. We want to see what other innovative thinkers are doing and learn from them.
I grew up on a small farm in the beautiful Mt Warning region of Northern NSW so no stranger to dams, tanks and pumps, horses and weed control. We had cattle agisted on the property. Ben’s folks had and still have a hobby farm in the Adelaide Hills with horses, cattle, sheep, and alpacas.
Darcy who is 13 has been lucky enough to have had experience staying and helping on remote cattle stations in the NT. He loves the station life and is a very keen and hardy young helper. Jacinta is 10 a super calm, mature gentle, and kind character. They are both excellent with animals.
As a family Alice Springs has been our home and community for the past 20 years. It will remain etched in all our hearts, that beautiful desert landscape. After twenty years it was time for a change. Where to go was the question. So we go in search of adventure, new places, and perhaps most of all opportunities. The search for our own slice of heaven.
If you would like us to help out, we would consider it an honour to have the opportunity to experience and learn about your farm. We look forward to hearing from you. Best Sophia & Co
