Hello! I’m a Perth resident/ citizen looking to gain some skills this year in sustainable and other sorts of farming/ looking after the land. I love nature and hope to one day live in some sort of community where I can contribute by growing and producing food. I’m studying a Diploma of Community Services online this year and am looking to volunteer at places where I can work whilst putting in a few hours of study in the arvo/ evening. I worked as a journalist and public relations officer for not for profits like The Greens, Cancer Council and Frack Free Future for about 15 years but am now switching things up so I can work more directly with people to help empower them to live their best life. I’ve previously done some WWOOFing in the UK and found it a great experience. I love cooking, reading, singing, astrology, tarot, astronomy, connecting with the land and humans and living peacefully. I’m friendly and outgoing but also enjoy alone time. I think I’d probably be classified as being an ambivert. I hope to hear from you!
Why I joined WWOOF
I’d love to learn more about sustainability and growing food. I’m hoping to one day live alternatively, away from the rat race of cities and closer to nature and real community. Meeting new people and making new friends, learning about alternative lifestyles is also high on my list.
