Hi, I’m Cohen and I’m riding my bike from Central Victoria to Cairns and back in 2020. I’m really keen to experience the different climates up the east coast of Australia, and learn about how organic farming differs in these areas. I have two years experience volunteering on an organic market garden, Gung Hoe Growers, in Harcourt, and I’ve really loved learning about how to work with the environment to grow food in this setting. I also love music, and I play the vibraphone and other percussion, though that’s a bit hard when you’re bike touring!
Why I joined WWOOF
I think that the way people grow food in an area in a good reflection of that place, and I want to experience this as I travel Australia for the first time. One day I’d love to set up an organic market garden, but I’ve got so much to learn before this is possible.
