I am on my gap year between year 12 in Geelong and university in Canberra in 2023. I spent 3 months working on a beef cattle property near Hamilton in Victoria. I did lots of work with the animals such as mustering, drafting, drenching, treating pink eye and doing daily moves, as well as some minor tractor work. I also worked for a year and a half in a pizza shop and took part in a school farm stay at Back Creek Farm where I worked in a dairy and also helped with caring for other stock and working in the farm owned Cafe.
I love music and play in and manage 3 bands back home.
Why I joined WWOOF
My dad signed me up. He went around Australia a while back and had great experiences WWOOFing.
He thought I would like learning about how different people live, how to live more sustainably, discussing life, philosophy and the experiences of other travellers and hosts.
