I worked for Qld Rail for 28 years, did every job I could from forklift driver to shunter, helping with passenger trains. I have been in the Alcohol retail business for 10 years. I also ran a seafood delivery business for 2 years.
I love camping, bushwalking, driving in the country, visiting country towns and country folk. I’m a sports enthusiast. Love cricket, enjoy NRL, AFL, Golf, and American Football. I like doing physical things, exercise.
I’m a quiet sort of guy, but love a chat about anything. In a crowded room will tend to keep out of the way. I find it easy to talk one on one, but tend to allow outspoken people talk in a group.
I do like meeting new people and engaging in in-depth conversation about them. Learning about why they are where they are and their plans and goals.
I like feel good movies, auto-biographies
My favourite movie is Monty Python and the Holy Grail, says something about my kind if humour.
I like many genres of music, but particularly Aussie pub rock and Blues. Pretty diverse especially if it is from 60’s 70’s 80’s.
I can cook but nothing fancy or elaborate. I’m a meat and 3 vege type of guy. Bangers and mash, fish and salad, roast veges. I don’t like real spicy food, sweet chilli is about my strength.
Why I joined WWOOF
I am wanting a tree change. Tired of the city life. I also want to see some of this great country and give back to the backbone of this country. My plan is to have no fixed address for awhile.
I have had a desire to work on farms for a long time and now is the time to make that move. I want to learn a whole lot of new skills and put those skills to use by helping out our farmers.
I’m looking to meet so many interesting and fabulous people and Wwoofing seem like a great way to do that.
I’m wanting life to not be predictable and not the same #%*! different day kina of thing.
I want new people, new landscape, new horizons, new challenges
