I am originally from Adelaide and my wife is from Hobart. We have 2 young children, Henry who is 5 and Lily who is 2. We were living in Cooktown in QLD after moving up from Hobart almost 2 years ago. I worked as a physio locally as well as flying to remote communities for outreach. In December 2019 we are embarked on a trip around Australia in a caravan hoping to combine locum work, travel and wwoofing. I have previously undertaken horticultural training and attended a permaculture design course in Tasmania. I am a keen gardener, like bushwalking and enjoy playing a variety of sports. My personality is friendly, calm and quiet with a dry sense of humour that becomes more apparent as you get to know me.
Why I joined WWOOF
My wife and I have long considered buying land to live predominately self sufficiently. We would like to produce something to supplement our other work. I am keen to build on my knowledge and experience of organic growing, particularly on a commercial scale. I am interested in exposure to both horticultural and animal based farming.
