Full Property Description
We are looking for help as we establish our organic wholesale nursery and coffee bar. We are a friendly family welcoming WWOOFers to our bamboo forest near the beach on the Sunshine Coast. We are Angela, husband David, and son Ed, we are focusing on native re-vegetation, growing vegetables, fruits and bamboo, providing organically-grown plants in our new wholesale nursery. We bought this farm in 2019 and are in transition to organic, biodynamic and permaculture principles.
We are looking to host self-sufficient WWOOFers who have their own accommodation (camper van or similar) to help us with:
It helps if you have a driving licence and experience in some of the above.
Our days start at 7.30am with a mid-morning break for morning tea then usually finishing by lunchtime. We appreciate the help!
Bamboo Park is off-grid with our own electricity generation, water, and septic, so you’ll learn about living sustainably. The nearby towns of Yandina and Coolum Beach are both about 10 minutes away by car. From there, you can explore the whole of the Sunshine Coast. We are about 25 minutes from Noosa. There are beautiful national parks, state forests, mountains and waterfalls nearby.
The nearest bus station is Coolum Beach. The nearest train station is Nambour. The nearest airport is Sunshine Coast. It’s ideal if you arrive on a Sunday and stay for two weeks or more. Departure days are usually on Saturdays. These arrival and departure days can be flexible. We look forward to hearing from you and wish you happy travels.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We became hosts because we love meeting interesting people from around the world and appreciate the help with our projects, which include bamboo propagation, caring for our fruit orchard: harvesting, mulching, planting, pruning, weeding, composting to create soil, creating vegetable and herb gardens, establishing a dragonfruit plantation, Land For Wildlife work, encouraging more native wildlife including green tree frogs, microbats, Eastern Grey kangaroos, and native tree planting.
