Short Property Description
9 acres in beautiful Ashby heights. We are a new farm, it’s really early days so we could use the extra help. Our 2 young kids (2 and 5) and our puppy ridgeback love to “help” out in the garden too. It’s all meant to be fun! We are 25 minutes to Yamba and all the beautiful beaches there.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We are currently studying an online Permaculture design course, and try to follow these principles. We have only had our property for 2 months so have a bit of a blank canvas to work with. Controlling the movement of water, and getting plants in the ground is high priority. We have 6 chooks that are helping prepare some soil for us.
The Stay
Why I became a WWOOF Host
It’s a bit overwhelming developing a new farm with 2 kids and puppy, the extra hands for a few hours a day would be a great help. My partner and I have done lots of travel and enjoy a diversity of cultures in our life.
