Short Property Description

We have a five acre hobby farm that is half veggies and fruit trees and chooks that supplies a sustainable cafe in Geelong. We are pretty much self sustained by our produce. The only meat we eat is the chooks we grow. We get the veges for dinner from the garden each day. But the thing that defines us I think is how we are set up to entertain young children. Three separate playgrounds, indoor pool, tennis court and animals to hand feed.

The back of our large home is self contained. Basically we are happy grandparents that would like to share our wonderful home with other families as we are so lucky to be here. Our garden is our passion so we are more likely to be comfortable sharing our knowledge than giving too much of our garden jobs to someone else.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We are based on permaculture so we grow using the soil that has been fertilised by our chooks. We buy in sawdust and the chooks turn that into mulch

All our garden is heavily mulched with shredded branches that we buy in bulk.

We collect the refuse from a local cafe every day and feed that to the chooks and give all our eggs and many veges back to the cafe.

We have goats as well that are friendly and can be hand fed.
