My name is Alice. I’m 24 years old and from Sweden. My work history is very diverse ranging from preforming as a farm hand on a crop and animal farm, to waitress and cafe allrounder to teacher in both kindergarten and school. I have shown a high level of professionalism across all areas and the skills I have developed are adaptable to a range of industries. I am a hard working, energetic and reliable team member that welcomes any challenge. Anyhow I always loved traveling, meeting new people and cultures, seeing new places. That’s why I decided to travel, live and work in this beautiful country for a while. This is my second year here in Australia and so far I had a wonderful time. I would describe myself as a calm, social and positive person with patience and an eye for detail. I’m physically fit, resilient and used to working outside in strenuous weather conditions.
Why I joined WWOOF
My true passion has always been with animals and nature. Being with and taking care of animals is what instantly reloads me with energy and makes me truly happy. Back in Sweden I will eventually start my education to become a vet nurse. Being outside in nature is also something that I always loved, wether it is an adventure, such as hiking, climbing, diving or sailing; or simply just working outside, I always loved it. Anyway, right now things are not as they used to be for any of us. I’m still here in Australia trying to find a place to stay and a job anywhere in New South Wales. I’ve mainly been working as a waitress in Sydney these couple of months, but with that not being an option anymore I’m hoping to find work as a volunteer on a farm for a while. I’ve been in a house on my boyfriends parents farm in central west New South Wales quarantining for 2 weeks, so now I confidently seek for a place that needs extra help. Hope to see you guys soon!
