I was born and raised outside of New York City in a small river town called Nyack. I am 31 years old, and have worked in various fields including construction and landscaping. I was a teacher for the previous three years in the New York City public school system, and currently am living and working as an English teacher in Thailand. I enjoy nature, music, reading, learning, films, physical activity, good conversation, laughter, good company and good vibes. I am easy going and value honesty and respect.
Why I joined WWOOF
I have always been interested in WWOOF as I learned about it many years ago and it appeals to me as an opportunity to learn about an experience farming while saving costs to explore a new country. I hope to gain some valuable knowledge and experience that will transfer to my own agricultural endeavors in the future. One of my long term goals is to live sustainably and sustain my family at least partially through farming our own land. Australia has always been high on my list to visit, and being that I am so close to it here in Thailand it seems like the perfect time to join WWOOF Australia!
