Short Property Description
We have not been effected by the bushfires or the floods and fortunately we have had some rain since the New Year which has made the farming outlook in this area much more positive than it was late last year. The Pines is a 1000 acre holistically managed grazing property. We run a commercial Angus breeding herd & a 1st x Ewe flock.(sheep) We also have horses which we use to muster stock. We are very proud of our property and are constantly endeavouring to improve it and our animal’s welfare. We also make an effort to include the native flora & fauna that live on our land.
We are situated on the Central Tablelands of NSW 25 km from our largest town Blayney) & 5 km from the small village of Neville. We are reachable by train from Sydney (Blayney station) and are just west of the Blue Mountains for those interested in bush walking, hiking etc.
Organic/Biological methods we use
We have holistically managed this property for the past 20 years. And are undertaking an extensive tree planting program which has been ongoing for the past 8 yrs. Our stock are being rotation-ally grazed which means they are moved from paddock to paddock every couple of days. This has two benefits, the paddocks are never eaten out and you get to monitor the health of your stock as you see them on such a regular basis & can quickly identify any problems.
