    Short Property Description

We run a commercial Angus breeding herd & a 1st cross Ewe flock.(sheep)  We are situated on the Central Tablelands of NSW 25 km from our largest town Blayney) & 5 km from the small village of Neville. We are reachable by train from Sydney (Blayney station) and are just west of the Blue Mountains for those interested in bush walking, hiking etc.

    Organic/Biological methods we use

We have holistically managed this property for the past 20 years. And are undertaking an extensive tree planting program which has been ongoing for the past 8 yrs. Our stock is being rotation-ally grazed which means they are moved from paddock to paddock every couple of days.

This has two benefits; the paddocks are never eaten out and you get to monitor the health of your stock as you see them on such a regular basis & can quickly identify any problems.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We originally became Wwoof hosts to show other people how country / farming life is in Australia. There are many misconceptions about farmers by people not connected to the land. Over the years we have met some delightful young people but as we are getting older or maybe the Wwoofer are getting younger, we find it is not so easy to teach urban youngsters the rudiments of farming in such a short time.
