    G’day Wwoofers!

Stay for 2 weeks or longer if you love it!

We currently have availability for new Wwoofers to come and visit Shamrock Vale Station from the 23 October onwards, please drop us an email and hopefully we will see you soon!
As we are very popular with Wwoofers and repeat Wwoofers we often require bookings well in advance!!

Come and experience the true Australia. Join us and our small team on our family owned, 4,000 acre farm in the beautiful Kerry Valley, just 1.5 hours from both Brisbane and the world famous Gold Coast.
Our nearest town – Beaudesert is only 10 minutes away.
Most of our farm land is dedicated to cattle (in our own valley) the remainder backs on to the beautiful Albert River where we grow our crops. Since purchasing the farm 4 years ago we have been converting the property to be more sustainable & permaculture based. We’ve done many projects such as adding large rainwater storage tanks & 6 solar PV systems with over 77,000w of panels. Electric golf carts are also used around the homestead grounds. We have also added bee hives and bottle our own natural honey. Our new larger dedicated honey factory is currently under construction.

There are plenty of varied jobs to do around the home and garden. Your days will be filled with lots of sunshine and work outside including veggie gardening, picking fruit (just for our own use only, not commercial), pruning, planting, weeding, mowing (ride-on mower), whipper snipping, hedging, looking after chickens, egg collecting, irrigation maintenance, honey collecting & bottling, cattle work, feeding and caring for animals. All work is in accordance with WWOOFing and during the hot weather, we start early and finish early.
We’re ideally looking for one or two friends travelling together to come and WWOOF with us. We usually say come for a minimum of 2 weeks and then review how we’re going. Almost all WWOOFers stay longer than that – but it’s good to start with a 2 week trial on both sides.
You will be spoilt with a very high standard self-contained independent private accommodation. These have been recently renovated and are only for our Wwoofers and include 2 new bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, dining and laundry facilities. See photos on our Facebook page – Shamrock Vale Station.
Food is provided for self-catering (you cook what you like for yourself). Fruit and vegetables from our own garden supplemented with YOUR choice of groceries from the local supermarkets. On occasions when the owners are in Australia also we share meals together with you at the main homestead.

When you aren’t working in our fun team, you can enjoy our beautiful property and its many features. We have a pool table and ping pong table just for wwoofers. Kayaks are also available to use on our own lagoons.

Ultimately we will try our best to make your Wwoofing experience interesting and fun and hope that when you do leave you will count us as friends. But, please only come if you are ready, keen and able to work – there is lots to do and we need your help. We do have to ask for your English to be quite good. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Please note: At this stage we are unable to sign second year visas.
We have our own page on Facebook, and encourage you to check us out and LIKE our page; Shamrock Vale Station.
