Skills I Want to Learn:
A few years ago, I spent a few weeks working in a wildlife rehabilitation center in South Africa and it was amazing. Living in the small, flat country of the Netherlands, I am looking forward to immersing myself in a completely different, open and more rugged environment to work with nature and animals again. WWOOFing seems a great way to discover a new place; while working hard and learning about my surroundings and the people, and hopefully making new friends along the way. I am looking to work for a few weeks in one place, explore the area, and continue to travel more of the country. I would love to work with or around animals, food and wine, or with ocean/lake/river related projects. However, I am broadly interested and open for experiences that had not yet crossed my mind. I'm not afraid of getting dirty and although do not have much experience in farming, I am looking to learn more, and I generally learn fast.

Skills I Want to Learn: Pruning, Beekeeping, Wild food foraging, Bread Making, Wine making
I'm coming to Australia for a month to visit a friend in Melbourne and to do some solo travel. I have previous WWOOF-ing experience at a biodynamic vineyard in Argentina. My month long stay was such a rewarding experience it has changed how I travel. My hope is to spend 2 or so weeks (this is flexible) with a farm as a way to see a new part of Australia.

I joined WWOOF for the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and see new places-- all at the same time! I am always seeking to learn new, interesting things and soak up information like a sponge. I enjoy connecting with people, as the idea of six degrees of separation never ceases to amaze me, and I am continuously blown away by how much kindness, knowledge and experience people have to offer.

I joined WWOOF because I have had friends who have had amazing experiences through the organization. I love to travel and WWOOFing seems like a great way to explore internationally while also having a purpose. Through WWOOFing I believe that I can gain hands on farming experience and learn, first hand, what it is like to own a farm. I think that I can create meaningful connections with like-minded people and really become apart of a special community. WWOOFing seems like a great way to travel, meet new people, work with the Earth and learn more about sustainability.

i joined WWOOF because i want to learn as much as i can about gardening, growing food and living sustainably. I also look forward to the inevitable connections that will be fostered whilst doing this sort of work. I love university and learning about the world but i often feel an unstoppable need to go back to the earth, finding solace in gardening and spending time in the bush.

We first joined WWoof in 2010 because we were very interested in Volunteering in Australia. We had such a good experience that now we join whenever we are planning a trip to Australia. It is a brilliant way to learn about organic farming and to experience the real Australia!

I always felt that getting to know people from a different country and learning from their culture is a great benefit. So far I have only ever heard of Australia's beautiful nature and its friendly and welcoming people. WWOOF seems to be the best opportunity to experience that for myself. This way I have the opportunity to gain valuable experience while helping out. I am very interested in all aspects of farm work and I am very eager to learn.
