We are a non-for-profit member owned organic date farm located in the arid zone of Central Australia in sandhill country on the northern edge of the Simpson Desert with extensive organic fruit and vegetable gardens, chickens and ducks. We practice Permaculture and Biological farming principles.
I was a WWOOF host for a number of years at Udialla Station in the West Kimberley from the mid nineties to 2002 and loved the experience. I had so many plants and animals to look after that I felt that I could no longer travel so I joined WWOOF so that I could bring the world to me. Udialla was also a small diverse farm just like we have here at The Date Farm where I’ll continue to share the joys of bush life, Organic farming following permaculture and biological farming principles which I have been practicing for over thirty years now.
