I study about agriculture, so I’m interested in farm and animals. And I like nature, so I would like to live in countryside with vast nature. I really want to feel nature, and the earth.

The WWOOF organisation was recommended to me by a contact at Work n Holiday, as a great way to experience Australia and learn some practical skills for the rest of my travels. I was really excited about the prospect of being out and about. Being stuck indoors in the city was starting to grate a little.

Since I had an idea of the concept of WWOOFing I had the desire to be part of it. However, I always had to delay this dream due Visas commitments and full time jobs. Now I finally have the opportunity to be part of this community.
To learn and teach knowledge and share this unique experience with like-minded people around the world. I’m fascinated with plants and vegie gardens as I always liked to play with that.
My diet now is completely plant based (flexible to be vegetarian due of what is available to eat), and I try to eat as much as organic I can. It would be a great pleasure to work on an environment that I can learn processes and techniques of organic farms and share with people with the same or similar mindset.
I’m also very interested to learn and work with permaculture as I believe to be one the most sustainable ways to live our lives and in harmony with our planet.

I joined WWOOF because I want to live and work on a farm for a 3-4 weeks. I came to Australia to work a full-time job in marketing. Now that my contract is up, I want to maximize my time in Australia and experience the rural lifestyle while I am here. Learning new skills and experiencing a new way of life is one of the main reasons I joined WWOOF. Seeing the country and living on a farm is a part of Australia I really want to experience. I would love to learn new skills about farming. Ideally I would love to work with horses, chickens, and learn organic farming practices. The change of life-style and my curiosity for farm life has really compelled me to make this happen.

I have a break from work as I am leaving Brisbane and driving to Adelaide. I have no set time to be there. I love nature and I would love to learn how to grow organic vegetables as I wish to grow my own in the future. I love animals and being outdoors. I am not scared of a bit of hard work either. I was told about WWOOF from a friend and loved the idea as soon as I heard about it. I didn't realise this was something available to people with no farming experience. So I am taking advantage of my free time to go on a new adventure. I would be honoured to help out someone on their farm in exchange for knowledge and experience.

I joined WWOOF because I am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically. I also am very interested in meeting new people and being able to interact with another culture that I don't know very well yet, but that I am very impatient to learn more about 🙂 I think that living and working with a family from Australia is just the best way to get to know to Australian way of living!

I want to renew my visa and because of the corona virus it is a little difficult to find a farm that you are hiring, so they indicated the wwoof. Voluntarily contributing to a role in order to improve or grow the environment, in addition to yourself, should be very rewarding.

Only recently I heard of WWOOF on a podcast. Looking into it was something that called me to do so. I see that it is mostly for overseas volunteers but I thought, why not give it a go. My work is of a freelance nature, so I often have clumps of days off, sometimes a couple of weeks.
I am currently considering leaving Sydney. As well as wanting to experience the country life I have always wanted to see more of Australia. Where to go is an open book.
I would love to find a host in Tasmania, but I am open to all opportunities.
I am interested in learning about living in unison with nature. I am curious about raising Beef and other animals for food. Permaculture techniques, living sustainably, off grid, water catchment, enriching and producing soil, composting. Building and maintaining fences and other requirements around a property. Taking care of pets and plants.
I hope to learn various skills and a greater understanding of what is required to live this life. One day moving into this world permanently.

Looking for a new experience as well as learning how WWOOF works. I have heard so much in relation to WWOOFING that I knew the time would come for me to be a part of this great initiative! I am fascinated by the idea of providing work for accommodation or a meal, the trade and barter system is something that is so needed in our hyperconsumer society. Very excited to be a part of it all!

I am currently on the jobseeker scheme and for the next few months so I´d like to take the opportunity to learn a few new skills in gardening and farming. Ideally I would like to find a nice farm where I can engage in a variety of tasks around crops and/or animals. I have lived on my own in Sydney from the beggining of this coronavirus crisis and practicing social distancing. I am mindful of the current self isolation requirements and will abide by them.
I am currently in Sydney and ready to relocate.

For the symbiotic tradeoff of course! Learning lifelong practical skills, having your basic sustenance and shelter needs met, exploring this beautiful land, and meeting loving people, and in exchange, you get to help people carry out their chores, aid in their livelihood, provide company in such a time when coming together is vital for humanity, and do meaningful work together.

I hope to connect with and meet new people and explore new places as well as learn new skills. Im very keen to assist with any fire recovery work after this summers horrendous bush fires. I'm also particularly keen to work in new landscapes and learn about new agricultural techniques as well as be immersed in local flora and fauna. I've lived in remote Western Australia as well as southern cities such as Melbourne.

We have a camper van and are planning to travel around Australia and do WWOOFing along the way. We joined WWOOF to learn about farming, horticulture, and about regional Australia. It is a great way to meet people and learn new skills! We hope to see new places, learn useful skills, and make memories and friends

Sadly my time as an Au Pair is coming to an end. As much as I loved it as much I am looking forward to a new experience. My two friends and I planned to travel now, but due to the current ongoing situation in the world that`s not possible anymore. So we found out about Wwoofing and all of us find it as something great to do! With all of us loving nature and valueing its inimitability and beauty we think it would be very intressting to get to know life on a organic farm! Another point is also my believe in the impotrance of farms and organic food which is produced by methods that comply with the standards of organic farming.
Looking forward to hear from you!
Thanks!
Cheers Lea

I decided to join WWOF Australia, because I believe that volunteering at a farm is a very good way to get to know the culture and nature of this country. Since I also love to learn new things I am looking forward to challenge myself with new tasks. Moreover I grew up on the country side in Austria with a lot of animals (I actually love all kinds of animals, especially dogs) and being outside in the woods my whole childhood and therefore I generally feel a strong bond to nature. I am really looking forward to this exciting new chapter of my life and to getting to know new things about the culture and nature in Australia. However, I am also really excited to meet new people from Australia and all over the world.
