I love mountain biking and bike touring. I've done part of the Munda Biddi trail (which I'm volunteering for at the moment) and I rode the Mawson trail in South Australia from Adelaide to the Flinders Ranges with my girlfriend. I love being in Nature and the remote areas of Australia. in 2019, I've organised 2 expedition trips by 4WD in the Simpson desert in Central Australia and in the Channel Country in Queensland along the Diamantina River. I like water sport and currently practicing Rugby Under Water (yes this is a sport!!!! and I can tell you a bit more about it when we meet). I like to get involved somehow in improving our food system in Australia, ultimately to deliver healthier food for people and restore our soil. There are so many things to fix from food production to food distribution and consumption... I want to start learning and helping on the field and where food production happens... this is why I am woofing.

I have a keen interest in sustainability and food production, so would love to gain more experience in working on farms, permaculture gardens, allotments, vineyards etc. I also really enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places, and believe that WWOOF provides the perfect opportunity to do both!

We are located north of sunny Brisbane in a beautiful native forest. We are regenerating the native bush land with local and interstate Australian native plants, most we propagate from seed, to attract birds and wildlife. We have many beautiful birds visit daily, parrots, cockatoo, kookaburra, lorikeets... and wallabies, koala and possums on occasions.
We are interested in permaculture landscaping to create an habitat for birds and wildlife and where people can live harmoniously. We are creative people and live sustainably. We have an organic vegetable garden. I have been gardening all my life. I propagate my vegetables and herbs from saved seeds. Richard has a lot of experience in construction and loves designing and building with recycled timber.
We have a large comfortable home with a swimming pool which is solar heated. You will have a private bedroom and bathroom with a very comfortable bed. Brisbane is in the subtropical region which means we have beautiful sunny weather most days of the year.
We enjoy going with our volunteers to beaches, walking in the rainforests and hiking to the waterfall to swim. And certain times of the year we love to go whale watching and to visit the sea turtles nesting and hatching. We are both gourmet cooks. We are not chefs but we did own a restaurant a few years ago. We love healthy food and we are mostly vegetarian although we cater to any diet choices.
We have many interesting and creative projects we need help with outside and occasionally inside. We require people to work 4-6 hours per day with 2 days off per week. We provide breakfast lunch and dinner. We would prefer people to stay at least two weeks and long term is an option. If you like our profile please send us a message.

Ideally we’d love to volunteer for a family or community that also has children so that they can be together. We would like our children to be part of the activities and events .
Our family are looking to volunteer with likeminded, hardworking people who share a passion for mother nature, connection, family and traversing the ups and downs of life. We are ready to work ASAP and happy to stay on for a while if it works of all.

Set in the Adelaide Hills, 'Wildflowers' is a beautiful 28 acre property that has seen a 49 year history as an semi self-sufficient organic hobby farm. There is an ancient apple orchard and two house gardens, plus chooks. There is heritage bush land which is home to kangaroos, koalas and possums. 3 humans, 2 dogs, 5 chooks and 3 working therapy horses live at 'Wildflowers'. The place is set back from the main road in a secluded 'bowl' and it is like entering another world. Our facilities are basic, no frills, rough, real and lovely.

Just retired, sold or gave away most of my stuff and am about to embark on an adventure. I am going to live in my Toyota Hi-Ace and travel around the country.
I want to have new experiences, learn new things and meet a variety of people. WWOOF sounds like a perfect way to satisfy my ambitions while also helping others.
I have only ever lived in Melbourne and Brisbane for the last 52 years. Although I have been to other places including a number of other countries, I want to experience a different side to life. I want to move off the tourist trail and see how other people live and linger a bit longer to get a real feel for the places I visit.

After 4 years of studying am very eager to get out of the city and away from theoretical concepts and into the natural world with real people working hard to solve issues around food production. I cannot wait to have my hands in the soil rather than typing away on a laptop all day.
Through WWOOFing I hope to gain an understanding of the real life practise of organic farming. Given I grew up in Victoria, I am not so much interested in a cultural exchange or spending time doing 'touristy' things but rather working and learning from growers and farmers.
I do hope to one day own my own land and have my own kitchen garden and so (rather selfishly) also hope to learn a few tricks of the trade for my own food production. I currently have leafy greens growing out of planter boxes in my tiny garden out the front of my unit in the city and it ain't cutting it!

I have no experience in farming and I don't come from a farming background family. Joined WWOOF to learn organic farming from experienced farmers hoping one day I can own a farm for myself and be a farm host on WWOOF to teach others.

I didn’t look past that first question haha. I guess I explained most of it? I’ve got some skills that could be useful to WWOOF hosts, but more than anything to keep on learning. To explore and be inspired by different ways of living
