Hello, we are Katrina and Finn and we live at Beachwood. It is a 2 acre patch of land that is part of the Eco-Village in the beautiful Currumbin Valley. Situated in the hinterlands of the Gold Coast, Queensland, we are just ten minutes from the BEACH and half an hour from all a city can offer. The bus pictured is the WWOOFers accommodation! So far, people love it! Katrina is an architect/builder/ and Finn is a sculptor/builder/musician we have a lot to share with a willing worker and we always try to have fun while we create! We speak French, German and welcome all cultures... Here on Beachwood we grow as much of our own food as possible. We are building our own unique timber framed house, as well as maintaining the land and undertaking a number of other interesting projects.

10 hectare Organic Certified property recently purchased 5 hectares of fruit trees some very old some new and a lot of dead ones, on the front of the property there is a large shed that was used as a commercial spray painting business, inside that shed one end has a living area currently getting expanded to two bedroom, that is where myself and WWOOFers will stay. There is a house on the property but the plan is to rent it out to take the burden of the loan away. The property was purchased buy my Nona and Nono in the 50s and then sold to my uncle in 2000, so as I purchase the farm I will be carrying on the farming tradition 75 years later.

- Hi there lovely Wwoofers! Sam (37) Clara (31) and Reilly (1.5) here. While Reilly was just a twinkle our eyes, Clara and I spent 4.5 years travelling Australia in our awesome veggie oil-powered Landcruiser, searching for the most beautiful spots to set up camp and call home for a week or two. After our first 3 month tour of Tasmania, we just fell in love with the place, returning every summer for more of the same. Somehow we just knew we'd end up here. As we travelled, we gained a real appreciation for simple living and developed a taste for the best organic local food sourced from farmers markets as we went. This just helped fuel the dream of a beautiful camp to set up in permanently, and do our best at living a low impact, natural, self-sufficient, homesteading lifestyle. When 6 months pregnant, out of the blue, the bank of Dad called up and offered a loan to help make our dream come true. And we‘ve always dreamed big.

I have recently bought a very old miner's cottage on a half acre in a unique rural village in central NSW. The cottage will be creatively renovated and the land turned into organic food gardens. YOU could learn lots about Aussie lifestyle, sustainable living, alternative building AND have a lot of fun, if you choose to WWOOF with Donny.

CURRENTLY NOT SEEKING ANY WWOOFERS Extend your visa working on a bushfire affected property! Our place at Blackheath in the Blue Mountains of NSW was burnt in a bush fire on 22nd December 2019. We need help with land clearing of burnt areas so that we can restore our fences as well as taking the opportunity to remove weeds in the burnt areas where they have reappeared and planting out up to 1,000 canopy tree seedlings to restore the native habitat. We are on 3.2 Ha of which 80% has been burnt. Luckily the orchard, greenhouse and organic vegie garden was saved, so we need help with preparing the spring garden and winter harvest, in addition to the restoration work. We are dedicated permaculture followers and live according to sustainability principles. We have recently taken over a dilapidated property surrounded by bush, although the house is in good condition. We have cleared the orchard and Vegie area and have Planted a Permaculture garden. However there is still a lot to be done. Under our guidance, weeds and undergrowth need to be cleared, compost, wood bins managed and our greenhouse attended to, as well as continuing to plant out the herb and vegetable garden. Other tasks include clearing the bushland of weeds, preparing new garden beds and building a pergola for kiwi fruit vines. We need people who are strong, with some landscape gardening experience. Accomodation for 1, 2 or 3 close friends in a separate wing of our home with its own kitchen and bathroom and separate entry - would suit a couple or single person. Shared meals each evening. or Food provided to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. Mixed diet. Vegetarians catered for. No children. No smoking on property. Initial stay 6-10 days, longer stays negotiable. Prefer min 2 week stays.

Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been on this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. In addition to looking after the farm and animals we are growing vegetables and setting up an orchard. We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. Its great having people come and enjoy the farm with us and join in the lifestyle. We are keen to explore ideas such as care farming and social enterprises. We have a nice new self contained donger set up with kitchen, toilet, bathroom, aircon for you to stay in or you're welcome to bring your own caravan etc. We will be starting our lambing season soon and it would be great to have some help checking and helping the ewes and any lambs that need it. We are also really keen to plant more trees on the farm. We have some seed and the will and just need help with getting things happening this autumn and winter so they have a good chance.

We are situated in Old Beach, about 25 mins to Hobart CBD. Come and join us on our hobby farm where we moved three years ago and need help with landscaping the garden, planting trees and bushes, weeding and fencing. We love cooking and use the fresh produce from our garden to prepare home made meals. Our gardening methods are organic and we believe in a sustainable lifestyle. We are close to beautiful national parks but also 25 minutes to Hobart cafes and restaurants and just 15 minutes to the famous MONA. Volunteering jobs for people wanting to stay with us include gardening, weeding, landscaping, fencing and general help around the property. We offer a comfortable bedroom, own bathroom and toilet, WiFi, Netflix and hearty home made meals.
