To do WWOOFing, I’d like to see people who care about natural and slowly life and then I want to know their local lifestyle, language etc.
I’ve done with a farm job, but it was only for 2nd visa and money. I’d like to stay and learn more local style life. I think WWOOFing is more valuable than just working in a farm. It’s not about money, we could be closer and hope to be a part of family.
One of my purpose that I’m here is getting opportunities working in a winery. Since I became a wine lover, I want to learn more and talk about wine.

Just retired, sold or gave away most of my stuff and am about to embark on an adventure. I am going to live in my Toyota Hi-Ace and travel around the country.
I want to have new experiences, learn new things and meet a variety of people. WWOOF sounds like a perfect way to satisfy my ambitions while also helping others.
I have only ever lived in Melbourne and Brisbane for the last 52 years. Although I have been to other places including a number of other countries, I want to experience a different side to life. I want to move off the tourist trail and see how other people live and linger a bit longer to get a real feel for the places I visit.

I want to learn while experiencing Australia! I'd love to meet great people and learn about horsemanship, permaculture, and any other skills they might have to share.
In return I'll put in the work, AND sing/write stories/draw for you if you like! I'd also absolutely love to find the places that are special to locals. That's a large part of the point of traveling, for me.

Skye and I are interested in learning as much as we can about different sustainable living techniques whilst travelling the world. WWOOFing allows us to give back and lend help to those who need it and to learn from those who want to teach.
We are very passionate about the world we live in and want to make the best possible effort to conserve and repair the natural environment.

I did some WWOOFing in France and it's always been a great experience, in terms of learning, hearing and sharing life stories, and contributing to host's projects.
With a project of shifting to farm life at some point, I am willing to get more hands-on experience, learn as much as I can and experience farm life. WWOOFing has always allowed me to meet new, skilled and passionate people willing to have a positive, sustainable impact and I look forward to more in Australia!

Our property is an eco-tourism retreat in a large private habitat reserve, 50 minutes south from Hobart Tasmania. Lots of birds, wildlife, forest, walking tracks. Variety of tasks, including construction, firewood cutting, walking track and cabin maintenance. As Covid has reduced our tourism activity, most tasks are physical and outdoor, associated with property maintenance. Few of the tasks are cabin housekeeping, so if cleaning and guest services are your preferred main activities, you might be happier at a different property.

I joined WWOOF to learn more about Australia while I travel and am out of work, to get out of the city, meet people and learn about regenerative agriculture and aquaculture.
I want to own a farm one day soon too! I am in between jobs, I have been a flood engineer for a number of years but do not align with the lifestyle, do not agree with the implemented solutions and have burnt myself out from working in a city office on jobs that impact rural areas without ever visiting the site.
I miss working with people and miss working on localised problems. I need a change and have always been drawn to agriculture due to my upbringing. WWOOFing for a while suits me.

City/Town: Hallett SA 5419Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: Separate Building, Tent
Mt Yibbi Tiny Farm is four acres of mostly established olive trees in Hallett, a small town on the Barrier Highway in the Mid North, South Australia.
Hallett is a true Australian tiny town on the edge of the bush, surrounded by (sometimes snow-capped!) mountains with one pub and a general store and a beautiful public pool and very friendly locals.
Hallett is at the centre of three trails - Heysen, Mawson and Dare's Hill Drive.
Currently being regenerated using permaculture principles, there are various plots and plantings and experiments occurring and room for many more.
Mt Yibbi is the Ngadjuri name for Mt Bryan, which is visible from the back paddock, along with the best sunsets.
The farm is being developed as an Artist's Retreat and there is a library and musical instruments and visual art and plenty of scope for creative expression.
Hallett is close to the Clare Valley and Barossa Wine regions, and half way between Ikara-Flinders Ranges and the city of Adelaide, which are both an easy three hours in either direction
Boss J Clark is the super friendly farm puppy and there is are rabbits, hares and foxes who visit the farm, along with Mama and Joey kangaroo and an echidna, and all the birds you could want.
There are sheep who live across the road, where mobs of kangaroos and emus run. There is a sunroom/office to watch the animals from with pretty good internet as well as a couch and Netflix and a PS4.
The farm offers a range of comfy accommodation: a big farmhouse, a partly renovated cottage, swags with a seasonal bonfire.

Frank and I have lived in Melbourne all our lives but we have decided for a tree change so we purchased a property in Willowmavin in December 2019.
We are both in our early 50's. We are both working part-time with our Melbourne jobs and the rest of the time on the farm. We both work hard but try to find a work life balance which can be challenging.
We are on 135 rolling acres with stunning views of Kilmore and Melbourne. We are situated 90 km from Melbourne, and 15 mins from Kilmore or Lancefield.
We currently have 2 dorper sheep named Brucey and Bella, whom are very friendly and affectionate, 3 frizzle chickens named Vanilla, Chocolate and Caramel and 7 Indian runner ducks. We are also agisting some of our land and have 25 Angus cows.
We started growing garlic immediately which was challenging as it was a huge learning curve. With every step of the process there are challenges but thanks to utube we are finding solutions.
We have just harvested our garlic and getting our next garlic plots ready for this year’s planting. We have so many plans for this farm, but we just don’t have enough time to do it all ourselves.
Some of the projects we dream of building are a Japanese onsen, a hobbit house and a pontoon. We also want to plant more trees on the property too. So many dreams, so little time 🙂

We have a six acre property half way between Sarina and Sarina Beach which we purchased 14 years ago. The six acres was cleared with very little vegetation or trees when we purchased.
We have created zones on the property with over 200 different fruit trees, a rain forest and many other garden zones. We are now in the process of converting our house yard to a zone 1 and make it more productive.
We have a large flat that is fully self contained with all amenities adjacent to our home. We have several rain water tanks which supply the house and flat
We are very fortunate to live in a community with many other permaculturists, which we come together on a fortnightly basis to swap produce, learn and share skills.
Our property supports a large cross section of natural wildlife and we also have many bee hives for our Natural and pure honey supply. I use our home grown produce for our homesteading needs.
Our property is on a hill with a wonderful view facing Mt Chelona hence our property is called Chelona View. We live 5kms from Sarina Beach, which is a picturesque walking and fishing beach. We are also close to Finch Hatton Gorge and Eungella National Park. Airlie Beach is only hours drive north of Sarina.

I have joined wwoof to meet the people who are interested in me and my journey round Australia as much as I am interested in their story. What has bought you to this point? I believe that travel should not just be for the wealthy and see the woof scheme as a great facilitator in dispanding that myth.
I believe that the scheme is about good experiences and interactions not just cheap labour. I will work hard but only if I think the attitude and outlook of the host is viewed as a reciprocal and fair exchange. happy to work 5 hours a day on average with days off to enjoy the local area and surroundings. But the work must be varied and interesting, that being said I do know the nature of a fair days work as have worked hard my whole life.
I am happy to undertake tree work this would be at a reduced rate, but enough to cover my skill set and maintenance of my gear. If this is of interest let me know.
