I grew up in an organic winery owned by my family and we always had people all over the world staying and working with us.
When I started travelling I got introduced to WWOOFing and it reminded me of my home and so far I only had lovely experiences!

My sister has been a WWOOFer for a few years and she is the one who really inspired me to experience the life of a WOOFer. I have always loved hearing about her travels and listening to her stories, and really wanted to experience that for myself.
My degree at uni has played a big role in my decision to become a WWOOFer. I have always preferred hands-on learning, and what better way to learn about sustainable living, than to live it myself and experience it with real life people, rather than reading a textbook!

I joined WWOOF so that I can learn different methods and styles of farming through volunteering at multiple farms.
My partner Douglas and I hope to have our own farm one day and are interested in gaining a wide range of information about farming while volunteering at many different farms.

Elizabeth is a really hard worker/ athlete, who's always got her hands dirty in something. With dreams of her own farm. She is ready to get her hands steeped in reality, so she can make practical moves for the future she dreams of! Madelyn dreams of permanently moving to Australia for work, but wants to first explore the country. She works in the field of anti-trafficking and has studied horticulture therapy but fist needs to learn how to farm!. Madelyn also faces her own chronic health issues, and believes nature is the best medicine!

We're keen to learn more about organic farming and biodynamic gardening in a practical setting so we can grow more of our own food in the future. We've had a few friends do WWOOFing in Australia and overseas and it sounds like a really rewarding experience. After working indoors for 20 years we're also looking forward to spending more time outside.

When one of our friends back home told us about her WWOOF experience in Tasmania we instantly knew that this is what we want to do too. We applied for a working holiday visa with a main goal to learn and gain experience rather than earning money. We'd love to contribute and bring some joy through music and good food while doing so 🍀

We chose woofing because we would like to have a different experience than usual. We would like to be in contact with the farmer to be able to see and understand his work. Woofing should be a good way to learn english language.

We'd love to get to know what life is like here in Australia. We want to gain experience of what it's like to work on a farm and with animals. Before we're going to work on a farm where we get paid we want to see what it's like to live on there, how the day starts and ends and what are the things you have to do.
