We run an organic meat and wool business on a community title farm near Canowindra in NSW. We have hosted wwoofers for more than 15 years. We live in a straw and earth house which we built ourselves. Andrew has a background in soil science and agriculture. Margie is a trained permaculture designer and community facilitator.

We grow a wide range of fruit & vegetables on our Organic property which is 12 kms from the small town of Wirrabara in The Southern Flinders Ranges. Our place is surrounded by woodlands & an abundance of local wildlife. We sell our produce directly to our customers, attend farmers markets & we also produce dried fruits & jams. You will be offered a great variety of jobs & have the opportunity to be involved in most aspects of our work. We love to cook & are passionate about feeding people well. O'Reilly's Country Table is a farmhouse dining experience we offer. Accomodation for 1-3 people in our home. In summer we are happy to consider extras if you have your own tent or camper. Accom for 4 within our home, facilities & meals shared with our family. Work includes weeding, mulching, building, fencing & animal care. Preferred stays at least 1 week. Seeking a couple or 2 friends for 1 week to 10 days. Physically able to carry out garden maintenance. Varied tasks like pruning, mulching, composting, weeding and planting. There is also some housework if you are interested. Our 15 acre property, of which more than half is natural forest with a large dam at the bottom of the slope, is 25min drive from Noosa Heads. Wildlife, including kangaroos & many bird species, is abundant. There are views across the tree tops, beyond Lake Cootharaba, to the Teewah sands on coast just north of Noosa. We have a permaculture design garden where we grow our own fruit & vegetables. Work includes maintaining the property by composting, pruning, mulching, weeding, planting & sometimes assisting with new projects. If you have a genuine interest in permaculture, biodynamics or syntropic farming and are studying or wanting to gain experience, then we would consider you. The accommodation is in a self contained cottage with own breakfast and light evening meal preparation facilities. All food is provided. Lunch, being the main meal of the day, is shared preparation and cooking. We request a 5 hour day of your willing energy, 6 days a week. There is no public transport but we are willing to offer a lift to nearby areas of interest when possible. Internet is available but mobile reception is not reliable. Preferred stay is 1 - 2 weeks. (Longer stay may be considered and negotiated if you have your own transport and are willing to provide and make your own meals.)
