The Berry Street farm is a 35-acre property, located on the western edge of the Blue Mountains in NSW. It has 6 acres of farmland which was originally part of a dairy Co-op, established in the early 1900s. The property also has about 30 acres of bushland including two sandstone pagodas which provides expansive views around the countryside. We regularly have visits from native wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and a broad range of native birds. We are currently establishing an organic vegetable and flower production system. I have 30 years experience in environmental restoration programs, including the use of rain gardens, passive irrigation systems, creek line and wetland rehabilitation and have an interest in regenerative agriculture. We think you will enjoy your visit to our farm.

City/Town: Strathbogie
Farming Methods: Permaculture
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
We are only around two and a half hours north of Melbourne driving up the Hume Highway. Turning of in Euroa, and then driving up to the Tablelands of the Strathbogie Ranges. Our property is located around 28km from Euroa and 6km for Strathbogie General Store, which is always a good place to get a coffee and pick up your mail. We, Karin & Kevin, Bruno & Regina (Friends) took over the Property a bit more than two years ago, and it has be an amazing learning curve. Our property is a working vineyard and a permaculture Food garden is at the moment a work in progress. New plans are prepared by one of our fantastic friends to expand the food production. Looking after the vineyard is the focus to create amazing grape which our winemaker turns into exquisite wine. We created a secure sanctuary for the Chooks, Guinea Fowls, Quails, and a Vegetable Garden with fruit trees. A few months ago we added 6 Alpacas Weathers (Floyd, Cosmo, Omar, Merlin, and Heston & Jo-EL) to our ever expanding livestock collection. They are so inquisitive roaming around the house paddock. One of our Helpers has two beautiful dogs Molly and Dusty, black Kelpies guarding the property for us. Native wildlife is found everywhere on the property, from Mark Junior the resident Koala, wombats , echidna, Kangaroo, Black Wallabies, Deer, snakes, and native Birds.

Accommodation Type: Caravan
Have been living on our beautiful, organic farm for over 20 years. It is full of fruit trees, our cows, vegie gardens, birds, bush, lizards, fireflys and a dam and creek to swim in. We are working towards turning part of the farm into an ecotourist caravan/cabin/camping space, so people can come and enjoy nature. I, (Melina) work as a herbalist/yoga teacher/masseuse in a clinic I run in town, in nearby Macksville. Neri Murphy (my 23 year old son) organises the farm. We spend most mornings together, one day doing farm work, the next day going for a surf at the local beach. We recently purchased a caravan so we could have WWOOFers come and stay again, so if you come and visit you will have your own space. We have really good internet and good phone reception.
