The reason that I join Wwoof is to learn how to grow organic vegetables, including pest control, seed collection, irrigation, and all other process involved. I want to build a life style that I could be mostly self-sufficient, and also raise a few chickens ad other pets. I’m also interested in connecting with local farmers, not only to learn from them, but also to experience a different lifestyle. Now, I came to a realization that what work I choose to do, is what lifestyle I’m having. I choose to be close to nature and outdoor activities, and maybe one day will have my own veggie gardens. This is more attractive to me compared to computer work.

I joined to create new experiences and to give my help towards a really good cause. I hope to meet new people amongst my experience and work hard amongst a good environment or people. I also thought it would be good to do something different from what I was originally doing in Australia.

I have joined WWOOF because I prefer to work with a purpose. I have tried different experiences in regional areas from volunteering at BlazeAid by rebuilding fences to picking Blueberries in Coffs Harbour. And in this recent experience, I realized that I was happier working alongside farmers rather than for big groups. I joined WWOOF to be able to meet and help farmers who have been affected by the bushfires as it can also count for my 88 days.

I hope to connect with and meet new people and explore new places as well as learn new skills. Im very keen to assist with any fire recovery work after this summers horrendous bush fires. I'm also particularly keen to work in new landscapes and learn about new agricultural techniques as well as be immersed in local flora and fauna. I've lived in remote Western Australia as well as southern cities such as Melbourne.

I've been studying about Accounting and Finance at school, but I always wanted to learn more than that. Farms are the root of everyone that we see in the world and I always want to learn about living authentically. Once in a while on my gloomy days, I go driving in the hills with my little stick shift, but it's a shame that I had never stepped into the nice view that I see. Hence, I am signing up and look forward to meeting you all..

I joined WWOOF because when I was studying in Tasmania and traveling around, I met many WWOOFers from all over the world who had all really enjoyed their experience traveling around Australia this way. When I returned to the United States after studying in Tasmania, I got connected with some local organic farms near my home university in Colorado, where I worked as an intern and taught other community members about the importance of organic agriculture. Now that I am finished with my degree, I want to travel back to Australia and experience different styles of organic agriculture while exploring the beautiful country.

I am looking to WWOOF because I am planning on making my way up to Queensland once the borders open again to help open up a restaurant. I did work away for a month last year in Cambodia and fell in love with the working life of helping others to stay afloat. I don't have a lot of money to be able to merely travel, however the wanderlust I have grown since last years adventures has grown to strong, and the threat of covid19 isn't making it any easier for me. Alongside of helping, I have joined WWOOF mainly to meet new people and to learn about different arts and hearts that cross a similar path that I'm strolling down. I love interacting with people and picking at their brains to soak up as much of their love and knowledge as possible.

I first joined WWOOF in NZ in 2016. It was an amazing experience. I was travelling with a small group of friends and we were able to meet some amazing people and see some beautiful places whilst learning about local culture, the environment and food production
