I have been wanting to experience living and learning on a permaculture farm for a while and I am looking for the perfect peaceful place for me. I am keen to learn all about permaculture and more. I am hoping to gain experience and skills that I can incorporate into my own lifestyle and potentially create a farm of my own in the future.

I joined WWOOF because I believe that all living things are interconnected - therefore I want to learn how to sustain our environment and live in harmony with each other. I am very interested in learning more about Permaculture and getting some hands on experience in an organic farm. I value supporting local farmers, so being an Australian exploring my own backyard, I want to help out in any way that I can. From my WWOOFing experiences, I hope to gain more knowledge and skills in Permaculture, growing organic produce and sustaining our earth, so I can be the change I want to see and share my learnings with others. I want to meet and make connections with incredible people by learning about their culture and their stories. Finally, I hope to gain more clarity on the direction of my next chapter and start putting some ideas into action.

I'm looking to take some time out to travel regional NSW and VIC. I am seeking to meet a host/family/community that can help me learn, connect and build skills. I enjoy exploring, and am not afraid of the dirt. I also enjoy my downtime and a cuppa

WWOOFing fits into my life as a great way of contributing and learning in equal parts, meeting like minded souls who I other wise would probably not, and generally getting to share their passions and knowledge in beautiful and inspiring surroundings. I hope in return that my presence will also be valued

I joined WWOOF to learn about ways of life that aim to be more in sync with mother nature and the land. I would like to learn and experience what it means to live this way.

My sister, Rachel Shields has been WWOOFing for a long time. She drove convoy across the Nullarbor with me. She thinks this would very much suit my current position. I’m just looking to meet beautiful souls and help where I can.

I joined WWOOF to be able to go out and stay on a variety of farms, help them our and learn some skills along the way. I have always wanted to gain experience and skills for having my own farm one day, but didn't know where to go to find them. My family own a conventional farm, which i worked on for most of a year after i left school, but i quickly realised that their methods weren't in line with my values or beliefs at all.

There is a big push for kitchen garden programs in schools and public community gardens which I am wholeheartedly behind. Through WWOOFing I hope to meet local farmers who have ideas and practice around community outreach and I also want to turn my black thumb green!

Since we recently sold our home it’s a perfect time to explore the country. Queensland is such a beautiful diverse place we want to see more of. We believe health starts with farmers/food growing practices/diet. Growers are at the heart of society and we value fresh clean locally grown food. There’s no better way to appreciate where our food comes from that to be part of the process. Halle and Rylie are homeschooled and experiencing how others run family farms and businesses is a perfect way to learn. We are also hoping to learn more about taking care of horses and an acreage. One day hopefully we will have our own!

We used WWOOF Australia before and loved it. It is a great opportunity to meet locals, to get to know the culture and help out on beautiful farms. We both love animals and met between golden retriever puppies.

I joined WWOOF to explore and learn - I hope to achieve... exploration and learning! I am exited to meet new people, help with projects, exchange knowledge and interests and drink lots of tea! When I was growing up, our family was a WWOOF host for a number of years - which I believe has influenced my desire to be part of the WWOOF community.

We both fundamentally believe we must open avenues that will assist us in learning important life skills regarding nature, food, sustainability and living a healthy life. We wish to see new beautiful places, plants, animals and really just making great memories with friends whilst doing our 6 months regional work. We feel Wwoof will be a great opportunity for us to do this.

I joined because I wanted to travel but wasn't sure how to, and when I called Beyond Blue for help today he literally suggested work while travel opportunities such as this one and I thought wow working on farm sounds fun. What I hope to achieve is making new connections that are meaningful I'm not just there to work for money but to connect and learn. I'd also love to work with animals as well especially horses!

I joined WWOOF to gain experience while on holiday and to support the community around me. I am hoping to learn a lot from others on sustainable practices and on the amazing things that some of the hosts are doing! While I consider my job to be very useful for the environment, it is sometimes very high-level/strategic, and I need to balance this with some concrete and immediate impact.

I am rejoining WWOOF this time to organize a kind of working holiday on my time off and weekends and to meet new people and see new places. I would also like to learn new skills in anything hosts may be able to share as well as making myself useful with fire wood collection which is one of my strengths as an arborist or whatever building, weeding, property maintenance tasks hosts may require. I also hope to meet artists, wood workers etc.

I'd love to immerse myself in an environment where I can learn all about sustainable living, permaculture design and regenerative/organic farming, by getting my hands dirty and doing it! I'd also love to meet a lovely community where I can put my roots down, and be surrounded by beautiful, like-minded, open hearted humans who live a healthy, nurturing lifestyle.

I want to learn how others live and work on organic farms in Australia. I am looking for new experiences and to get out of the city and get my hands dirty. I have always been drawn to the idea of having an organic farm one day and I'd love to learn from you. As I am traveling around Australia this year it will be good to have some places to stop a long the way and learn local knowledge, places and recommendations. It will be great to get to know people and how they live. I think doing WWOOFing will be an awesome way to meet people, learn new skills (basic farming skills that everyone should know) and have an interesting place to stay on my journey.

I studied for the past 3 years in Paris. It is a great city with a lot of opportunities but I feel like I need to take a break from the pressure of the city. After the hudge pandemic we've been through I also need to reconnect with people and with great values. I want to be more confident and leaving France for another country on my own was a great idea to combine all these needs ! (Also I'm not a great english writer/speaker, it is a great opportunity to improve my level of english !!)
