To work on a cute farm and be a peasant working outdoors and eating healthy food, away from pollution. It really seems like the most enjoyable way to avoid covid and maybe I will learn a thing or two about and gardening and self sufficiency.

I want to learn and observe. Having the opportunity to travel post COVID is another reason. Giving myself the space to grow and develop my skill set. I feel very happy while plotting along in a productive garden.

I love mountain biking and bike touring. I've done part of the Munda Biddi trail (which I'm volunteering for at the moment) and I rode the Mawson trail in South Australia from Adelaide to the Flinders Ranges with my girlfriend. I love being in Nature and the remote areas of Australia. in 2019, I've organised 2 expedition trips by 4WD in the Simpson desert in Central Australia and in the Channel Country in Queensland along the Diamantina River. I like water sport and currently practicing Rugby Under Water (yes this is a sport!!!! and I can tell you a bit more about it when we meet). I like to get involved somehow in improving our food system in Australia, ultimately to deliver healthier food for people and restore our soil. There are so many things to fix from food production to food distribution and consumption... I want to start learning and helping on the field and where food production happens... this is why I am WWOOFing.

With aspirations of a career change on the horizon i am keen to spend time on various organic, bio-dynamic and permaculture based properties. Having a growing desire to learn all the facets of growing food and the ecological biodiversity that enhances it, WWOOFing appears an ideal avenue to supplement my knowledge.

I'm looking at spending some time away from the stresses of my job, learn new skills, meet new people and go off grid as much as possible in the future.

I joined WWOOF as an opportunity to spend more time in nature and to learn more about sustainable farming practices. I want to gain insight into ways we can tread on the earth more lightly whilst also benefiting from the growth that it provides! I also see WWOOFing as a great way to explore new places and meet new people.

I have a keen interest in sustainability and food production, so would love to gain more experience in working on farms, permaculture gardens, allotments, vineyards etc. I also really enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places, and believe that WWOOF provides the perfect opportunity to do both!

I'm looking for volוnteering across Australia so I could learn new things, experience the agriculture lifestyle, and travel in a non-conformist way. I am a fast learner, hard working and eager to experience new things, and working in farms is something that is fascinating to me.

I found out about WWOOF through my parents who spent a year travelling the country and WWOOF'ing when they were younger. Now it's my turn. I am here to learn about organic and sustainable living and farming practices. I want to learn new skills, meet interesting people, and try to live a little bit more 'off-grid' in general

My family’s mentality growing up was that a good day meant getting muddy, sweaty, and maybe slightly scratched up and that the only bad days were ones we didn’t spend together. I would love to be able to aid family farms in creating that environment for their community as well. The best way to get to know a place is by meeting the people, and I can’t think of a better way to travel Australia than learning, helping, and enjoying the farms that make up so much of this country.

Well, when the fruit picking job that was promised fell through, a friend and I got chatting, and she directed me to WWOOFing saying how amazing the community is. So I'm here now while I have some time off:)

To experience something organic where I can gain valuable and relevant knowledge of things that I consider important and life-changing. To meet like-minded people with a wealth of knowledge that they're willing to share. To connect with a variety of people and exchange stories and to have fun.

I'm Melbourne born and bred and I'm looking for a change to city life for a while. I've loved my WWOOFING experiences in the past and I'm keen to explore my beautiful state while working and helping and learning.

Im joining WWOOF because it found me right when I needed it. I am only free when my Gypsy soul is wandering and what better way to do that then in Tasmania’s hidden coves where the real veggies grow.

I joined WWOOF as I'm keen to learn more about soil health and growing food organically. I don't really have much experience in this area other than what I can read or watch...would love to get more hands on and learn from people who know their stuff.

It's long been a dream of mine to own a farm growing organic, spray-free produce. Why did I join WWOOF? For the tomatoes, I guess you could say. I did it for the garlic.

I have some friends who have done WWOOFing who have told me it was the best thing they ever did. I've been desperate to get out of the city for so long, unsure of where to go or what to do or if I'm sure it's "what I want" etc, I've been hesitant to make the move. But I'm so ready to make that shift now, and I just want to learn and gain more experience in farming as that's where my passions lie. I would really love to learn more about sustainable agriculture/permaculture practices as I'd love to one day have a farm of my own on some property, so I'm open to any and all experiences! Currently I am unemployed and have been for some time, my work experience is as a cook in various cafes, but the food wastage in the hospitality industry was doing my head in and not aligning with my ethics so I quit for a time. The last place I worked at was great - it had it's own garden out the back and tried to grow as much produce as it could, with composting and worm farms, which I really loved (but sadly they closed). Ever since then I've been wanting to learn more about food production and how to incorporate it into every-day living in a sustainable way.

Most of what people put in their mouths is garbage. The packed, ultra refined, pesticide laiden food is sending most people toward an early demise. True wealth I believe is the knowledge of where your food is coming from and having access to seasonal organic food and being able to share it with others. As I said above, I would like to run a small scale permaculture farm in the future so the first most logical step in that direction is to volunteer on others farm.

I joined WWOOFing so I could volunteer on a farm in New South Wales in order to meet the 88 day requirement for the working holiday. I'm currently volunteering in a bushfire recovery zone.
