Sorry people we are unable to host WWOOFers until further notice.                 12 ha property with abundant wildlife (wallabies, koala, birds) and a flock of black sheep. Also includes orchard, large vegie gardens, poultry and forested areas for wildlife. We sell fleece, spun wool and knitting at The Channon Markets and are actively involved in local community Landcare, hall, rural fire brigade and botanic gardens. Work includes sheep care, fencing, gardening, collecting and preserving fruit/vegies, weeding, mulching, spinning & knitting. Accom for a single or a couple in separate self-contained studio, evening meals shared, all cook together and food provided for self-catering of other meals. Mixed diet, vegetarians catered for. No children, no smoking. Initial stay 3-5 days, longer stays negotiable.

We live on 2 hectares with a young food and Permaculture nursery and gardens located in the foothills of Eungella National Park halfway between Mackay and Proserpine. Within walking distance is freshwater swimming holes and an organic banana farm which we also work with. Tasks will include: general nursery and garden work (potting up, weeding, mulching, planting etc.). We sell produce/plants at regular markets. Abundant wild life including wallabies right in the front yard, and platypus in the nearby national park. Possible excursions to a beach house and fishing and crabbing (if you're good! and time and tides permit.) Minimum stay one week. Prefer longer stays after a week trial and we encourage keen people with real interest in gardening and Permaculture to come. Some shared mixed meals. Vegetarians/vegans catered for. NSI.

Prefer phone contact. Rivergum Lodge is located on the corners of Eucumbene & Kosciuszko Rds, East Jindabyne, 13.5 kms from town. We have the largest log cabin in Australia, built of timber slabs on 7.4 acres, extensive wildlife, possums, kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, wallabies, lots of bird varieties & lizards. It’s a Ski Lodge with open fire places, wood oven, and friendly atmosphere, able to meet lots of guests. Work includes tree planting, free range egg collecting, composting, and vegie planting early spring. Skiing 3-4 days per week, gold panning available, trips to see the platypus. Golf, billiards, large wood workshop. Lots of skills to learn. Accom for 3 people. No children. Mixed diet. We prefer no smoking. Stays of 4-10 weeks. Cannot take WWOOFers during summer.
