I'm joining WWOOF to hopefully get some experience on what farm life is like, learn new skills and hopefully make it more common in my life as there must be more to life then  what I'm currently doing now . Also meeting like minded people is very appealing. Working for board and lodging is very appealing and makes seeing more of my country a reality. speak to hosts and work out the social side of stuff required as well as possibly becoming a host!

Unfortunately due to restrictions on most of the hospitality industry at the moment, I have the time to really dive into WWOOFing experiences, which I've had in my sights for some time. I’ve always had an interest in horticulture/permaculture but never found the opportunity to pursue it, so I felt like this would be the best of both worlds: learning more about the craft/process and experiencing the beautiful Australian countryside. I also feel like working together with others to create a cohesive yet dynamic system is something I've always found very good for the soul, which is something I think everyone can use in times like these 🙂

Because I am interested in spending time in nature more close to the natural environment instead of being in the city. I found very interesting the biodynamic method of farming and also I'd like to learn some skills in aquaponics. In the future I'd like to start a farm. I would appreciate to have the experience to live in a farm, I enjoy to be in touch with mother earth and I find very therapeutic to work with soil, plants and animals. I would like to practice my skills as a veterinarian as well. I'd really feel thankful for being a member of Wwoofing in Australia.

I’ve been in Australia since the end of Frebruary and I will be staying for four months till the end of June. I am on a working holiday visa so I was kind of hoping to find a job in farmwork because I would like to experience it and to save some money for traveling. But, no beter way to experience farming true Woofing! That’s why I registered to find a family who is willing to invite me!

We would like to contribute our workforce to the australian community to make up for the great expiriences we've been given and the beautiful places we got to visit. Also Australia has become our new home and it hurt to see it burn down on the news every day during the bushfires. Therefore now we feel like it's the perfect way of saying thank you to all the help and kindness we've expirienced from Aussies so far.

I joined WWOOF as it is an alternative way to travel discovering new places and people along the way.  It really is a unique opportunity to get out into the Australian countryside and experience Aussie culture while learning about organic farming and how to live sustainably on the land.  Others backpackers who I have met along the way recommended it a very worthwhile experience.  The bushfire season has highlighted the importance of community and the spirit of volunteering in Australia. I am willing to lend a helping hand and learn some of the tricks of the trade of organic farming along the way. Hopefully one day I will grow some of my own food. WWOOF is very relevant for the times we live in as these days many people are starting to think about where their food is coming from and see the value of healthy nutritious food grown locally. Which is great for local small businesses which I hear are the heartbeat of Regional Australia. To be a WWOOFer in Australia is to play a role in helping to make the world a greener, better place for us all.

I am really passionate about organic agriculture and want to experience it on the ground with my hands. I think WWOOf will give me the opportunity to engage with the world in a way that I have yet to - really get my hands dirty and learn from experience. I am sick of sitting on my computer, I want to engage, live in the world, and do work that I am really passionate about, which is organic farming.

I will be in Melbourne for an international swim meet with my US teammates from 2/22 to 2/25. I will arrive in Melbourne from the US on 2/19 and was hoping to find a place to wwoof from 2/19 am to 2/21 pm (and possibly 2/23 to 2/24) while there. Staying and working on a farm interests me more than spending time in a city and I am interested to learn how other farms are managed. It is unfortunate the stays will be short, but I am happy to work full days while wwoofing to make the stay worth your while.

I’ve never had a Wwoofing experience before but one of my best friends did several ones in New Zealand. He told me that was one of his best experiences during his travel in NZ. I've had different sharing experiences thanks to couchsurfing, I got the opportunity to live with locals people during my travel in USA then in Australia since my arrival. So I would like to do Wwoofing for sharing time with local people, discover their lifestyle and improving my English and learn many news skills aswell. Thanks to my studies I got some knowledges about preserving and processing food, fermenting food, cheese making and marketing produce but it’s just knowledges and I want to put them into practice. I’m also really interesting to learn new skills about organic practices, composting, animal care etc.. I’ve always been curious and interesting to learn news things. As Albert Einstein said "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."

I love the idea of staying with a family and having a more local experience all the while doing something productive. Traveling in a new country can often be tiring and it’s great to settle down for a week or so and get myself working. My sisters did WWOOF in Europe and had a fantastic experience and so greatly inspired me to try it out.
