I joined WWOOF because, whilst I have learnt much from my parents, I want to learn more about sustainable gardening, and learn how other gardeners (particularly those with permaculture gardens) apply these principles. I will be in Sydney until September 2021- my Postgraduate study overseas was delayed due to Covid- and hope to learn as much as I can before heading to London!

We almost bought a house this summer. But instead, we dared, sold our household, and are about to head of to a year of nature's adventures, friends making, bon fires and farm work. Joining as WWOOFers allows us to combine all those. We are eager to learn everything there is about growing your own produce and energy-efficient housing and animal keeping. Our plan is to travel, disconnect, reset and eventually start creating our own little farm. Along the way we seek fun and meaningful experiences. We are tolerant, trusting and respectful and expect the same in return. We strive in well structured and easy-going households within a vibrant community and a quite private place for solitude. If you say “hell yes” to us – hit that button and message us. We’ll reply within 3 days. Travel plan (roughly) Leaving VIC in October, heading to NSW and then returning to VIC before heading west. VIC: October '21 – December '22 NSW: October '21 – November '22 SA: November '21 – February '22 TAS: December '21 – February '22 WA: February '22 – April '22 NT: April '22 onwards QLD: April '22 onwards

We joined WWOOF because we are interested in organic and sustainable practices and a more sustainable way of travelling. We are excited to learn new skills in the hope that we can apply them to a cute little place of our own in the future.

We're looking forward to learning to grow food! Also we're passionate about living a lifestyle that is more closely aligned with nature and meeting the people behind the magnificent organic produce that we love. Looking to exchange some energy - very keen to develop a practical working knowledge of farming and to get our hands into the soil and to be of service in helping farmers to make the magic happen. We're looking forward to meeting you and exchanging energy

My wife Emma and I are currently travelling Australia and looking to meet new people and try new experiences. We grew up in families that took pride in their veggie patches and have appreciated the time, effort and 'blood, sweat and tears' it takes to grow your own food. With minimal farm experience we'd love to learn more from our host and are willing to try anything and everything.

We don’t know much about farming but keen to learn and channel our spare time towards agriculture and supporting farmers. We both are looking forward to have some hands on experience on how to grow vegetables and fruits. We used to spend time at Warners Bay Community Garden and Lake Macquarie Landcare. Overall, we would like to experience farm life, interact with farmers and learn farm work from people who feed the masses. We would also like to learn/share our experiences and expertise with Farmer friends. 🙂

The reason l decided to join the WWOOF program is because I am always keen to learn new skills and meet people. Especially learning environmentally sustainable skills, as I hope to one day become an ECO tour guide in National Parks.

We thought we'd join WWOOF to gain an authentic experience in the agriculture industry and to learn about what it really means to run your own farm before we try to actually do it ourselves. We hope to meet like minded friends while woofing as well as take away valuable skills for the future.

I joined WWOOF because I want to learn about organic farming, and how to cultivate plants. I also want to travel for the next few years, and explore different parts of Australia (and the world when things open up!). WWOOF seems like a really interesting way of seeing Australia.

I joined WWOOF for several reasons; I heard about it from a friend of mine at the Acton Community Garden. I am interested in sustainable, community-focused living. I believe organic, environmentally-friendly agriculture obviously a big part of any sustainable life. I would like to learn more about, not only the food I eat, but the people who grow it and the land where it grows. I'm interested in meeting other people who share these beliefs and ideas! And just getting to know people who are living a different life from the conventional 9-5. I would also like to see more of rural and regional Australia. Although I've lived here all my life, I've not spent as much time away from the city as I would have liked to.

I joined to get out of Melbourne during lockdown while stilll being able to follow the governing health regulations.  I have wanted to go WWOOFing for many years, however, due to family and work commitments, I didn't have a chance.   I look forward to experiencing other people living sustainable and regenerative lifestyles. I am excited about meeting inspiring people, being in beautiful natural spaces, and enjoy learning by participating in the day-to-day operations of different properties.

I am a full-time baker at the moment and am hoping (in the near distant future) to transition into a career in Bush Regen/land management and conservation/ horticulture. I've recently started a course in sustainable agriculture and organic farming and although there are many benefits to it being online, I would love some hands on experience. I love to learn and get my hands dirty and I figure wwoofing is the perfect way to learn and travel at the same time!

I don't love living full time in the city. I've always known about WWOOFing and have wanted to join, so here I am. I do not have room for a garden where I live at the moment and would love to spend time helping out on a property with a garden or a farm. I would love to learn about organic farming, permaculture etc. and I've had chickens in the past and love them. I prefer to learn hands on, am a quick learner and a hard worker, I also look forward to exploring and meeting new people while not working.

I joined WWOOF about 10 years ago while I was a full-time environmental science student in Lismore NSW. I volunteered with a couple of hosts, put in some solid work, learned about the hosts’ properties and way of life, created fond memories and met wonderful people that I have kept in contact with. I had a very positive experience with WWOOF and my restless spirit has been pushing me to live with greater freedom and adventure. Re-joining WWOOF was an obvious choice for me.
