My mother told me about tthe organisation when i came here and had trouble connecting to the country and people. It sounds really fun getting to know the real australia through the locals and since i lived on the country side my whole life basicly there was allways the interest in farm work. I dont have any experience in it yet sadly but i really want to learn everything about it. Through caring families this journey for me sounds the most fun, it isnt about the money i want to see the real australia with it. I allways loved Animals from rabbits to a cow and taking care of them (sadly not from a cow yet but that hopefully changes). Lerning about the farm life through this organisation really sounds the most fun and inviting to me.

I join WWOOF to discoverd a new culture. I want to do something I've never done before like milking, feeding, inseminate, fencing, and other tasks I don't know yet. Moreover, It's a way to only speak english and so improve it

I really want to join WWOOF because, for me, this is a unique opportunity to give my time to help as a volunteer and allow me at the same time to meet people and new types of work. I also went to the other side of the world to discover opportunities that I would not have thought of, so I hope that coming here will allow me to discover some new things and to open my mind even more. In addition, the concept of volunteering attracts me a lot, for me it allows to focus on human relations above all.

We are a small, organic, family owned & operated farm situated on the side of beautiful Mt Cotton, a 30min drive to Brisbane & 45min drive to Gold Coast Ashley is a 3rd generation farmer, still working alongside his parents on the land. We grow a mix of small crops plus avocados, citrus, custard apples & nut trees. We also breed heritage chickens, and keep a few head of cattle. We can always do with an extra pair of hands on the farm to help with the many daily jobs, including planting seedlings, mulching, weeding, pruning, mowing, picking, pollinating & caring for our chickens. We have a separate farm cottage accommodation for WWOOFers with toilet, shower & kitchen. We offer some shared meals, plus food provided from the farm for self-catering. Mixed diet. No children. No smoking inside.

I have thought about it for a long time, because I am interested in expanding my horisont and because I have always been happier in the nature. I really want to gain experience and knowledge along the way and to meet new animals and people. Perhaps I even figure out that this is really something for me?

Our main goal by traveling to Australia is to get to know the country, the traditions and the people better. Furthermore we want to experience the australian daily lifestyle as authentic as possible, thats why we want to live and work together with typical australian familys. We are open and interessted in new experiences, challenges and keen to support the australian economy. In our view, WWOOF is the best opportunity to achieve the most genuine impressions of the australian lifestyle and in our case to gain our ambitions.

When I was a young girl, I used to be at my grandma's farm to take care of the animals or to help her with the garden. I think, I want to relive these kind of moments. I would like to be reconnected to the nature, learn about farm routine, provide my help for the farm's development. I will do the best of myself for it.

I have joined wwoof to meet the people who are interested in me and my journey round Australia as much as I am interested in their story. What has bought you to this point? I believe that travel should not just be for the wealthy and see the woof scheme as a great facilitator in dispanding that myth. I believe that the scheme is about good experiences and interactions not just cheap labour. I will work hard but only if I think the attitude and outlook of the host is viewed as a reciprocal and fair exchange. happy to work 5 hours a day on average with days off to enjoy the local area and surroundings. But the work must be varied and interesting, that being said I do know the nature of a fair days work as have worked hard my whole life. I am happy to undertake tree work this would be at a reduced rate, but enough to cover my skill set and maintenance of my gear. If this is of interest let me know.

'Huntly' is an organic cattle property in the beautiful Arcadia Valley in Central Qld. We run 2000 head of cattle that graze on natural pastures & are rotated regularly. We grow a 1000ha native forest, harvest seeds & propagate. We also grow a healthy food forest. A permaculture garden supplies an abundance of fresh food and supports our chickens, bees. The accommodation is a creative cool mud house that will inspired & ground you. One must be frog friendly, the green tree frogs are beautiful. We hold a two day festival every Equinox (March & September) where we celebrate the changing seasons and pick a topic to explore and learn. Next March we are delving deep into Energy with Heinz Gugger. Heinz will give an overview of Dowsing Energy lines and Radionics. Huntly is a beautiful and exciting property to stay with many National Parks to visit on your days off. There are many opportunities and lots of fun to be had here.

Only recently I heard of WWOOF on a podcast. Looking into it was something that called me to do so. I see that it is mostly for overseas volunteers but I thought, why not give it a go. My work is of a freelance nature, so I often have clumps of days off, sometimes a couple of weeks. I am currently considering leaving Sydney. As well as wanting to experience the country life I have always wanted to see more of Australia. Where to go is an open book. I would love to find a host in Tasmania, but I am open to all opportunities. I am interested in learning about living in unison with nature. I am curious about raising Beef and other animals for food. Permaculture techniques, living sustainably, off grid, water catchment, enriching and producing soil, composting. Building and maintaining fences and other requirements around a property. Taking care of pets and plants. I hope to learn various skills and a greater understanding of what is required to live this life. One day moving into this world permanently.

I am wanting a tree change. Tired of the city life. I also want to see some of this great country and give back to the backbone of this country. My plan is to have no fixed address for awhile. I have had a desire to work on farms for a long time and now is the time to make that move. I want to learn a whole lot of new skills and put those skills to use by helping out our farmers. I'm looking to meet so many interesting and fabulous people and Wwoofing seem like a great way to do that. I'm wanting life to not be predictable and not the same #%*! different day kina of thing. I want new people, new landscape, new horizons, new challenges
