We operate a 7000 acre, cattle, horse and organic garlic property, 1 hour south east of Tenterfield  on the beautiful Rocky River. We've had all types of WWOOFers and everybody has loved the place. We are especially looking for horse people as there are 68 mares, foals and working horses. Lots that need riding out daily and cattle mustering. There is a small team of family and permanent staff that run this large operation. We prefer people looking to stay a length of time, as they end up becoming part of the family. Great accommodation, cabins and common area, to house up to 20 people in Australian style living, overlooking the gorgeous Rocky River. There is all sorts of work to be done and lots of good times to be had.

Boston Island is a 960-hectare (2,400-acre, 19 square kilometre) privately owned island in Boston Bay, Spencer Gulf, South Australia. Owned by the Davis family, it has been primarily used for grazing sheep and was also once the location of a proposed township called Kerrillyilla at the southern end of the island. The Island lies between the two headlands of Port Lincoln and Cape Donnington. These two headlands enclose the world’s second largest natural harbour. Boston Island forms a natural breakwater, protecting the town from strong northerly winds. The island features a number of beaches including Squeaky Beach at the north (east of Maria Point) and Homestead Beach to the north-west. Picnic Beach on the eastern shore and Cemetery Beach on the central west coast are smaller. Fauna species recorded on Boston Island, or in adjacent waters include: bush stone-curlew, pied oystercatcher, sooty oystercatcher, fairy tern, eastern osprey, white-bellied sea eagle, Australian sea lion, New Zealand fur seal and southern right whale. Boston Island also supports a small colony of little penguins. The island has a rich and deep history, and several old structures including the oldest building on the Eyre Peninsula. The Davis family are passionate about the environment and are heavily involved with conservation projects on the island. This year we have just planted organic garlic on the island for the first time as well.

We are a family owned 5,200 acre farm located in the beautiful Kerry Valley.  Our farm land is very diverse, from alluvial plains on the banks of the Albert River to our own hidden valley with panoramic scenic vistas (which our region is famous for). We are conveniently located, with less than 10 minute drive from the township of Beaudesert.  We are also just over an hours drive to Brisbane and the world famous tourist mecca; Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. The farm is home to Goshu Wagyu; an elite breeding and genetic supplier of Tajima cattle (Japanese Breed) for the domestic and international market.   We also produce our own crops for supplementary cattle feed. On the farm we also have organic bee keeping and our own honey extraction and bottling plant for our honey products. Our nearby sister family farm is a thoroughbred race horse training and spelling facility. Hence unlike most farms where the focus is just one type of farming, we can offer you a truly diverse experience!
