Really interested in learning more about how to grow food, I've tried my hand at starting a garden and was always interested in working on a larger farm for a bit. WWOOF also seems like a great way to meet people from all different walks of life and I'd love to hear about people's journeys

Our passion is travelling, and we enjoy meeting new and interesting people around the world, and we already spent time in Australia both working and travelling. It was an exciting time in an impressive country we made many valuable acquaintances while there. Many years later, we would now like to share the positive experience with our kids and introduce them to Australia’s nature and the Aussie lifestyle. We are a hands-on young family, and we love skilled manual work. My wife and I, we both grew up in a working-class-family. For our work-life-balance, we spend a lot of time in our own forest or on our neighbour’s farm. We would enjoy having a break from our daily life in office and spend some quality time with hands-on physical work for/with you.   Furthermore, improving our English will be a positive side effect of joining WWOOF. Especially for our kids who started studying English at school last summer.   Joining WWOOF gives us the unique opportunity to combine both our favourite work activities and making a wonderful and exciting experience as a family Down-Under and in nature.

We are a couple Wim (male, 37 years of age, born in the Netherlands) and Melissa (female, 31 years of age, born in Germany). We met in New Zealand about 11 years ago and speak English with each other. We have been living in Australia for the past 10-ish years. We left our house in Walloon early April 2022 and have stored our belongings and tools in a small shipping container. We are now slowly traveling Australia in search for a new place to live. Our goal in this new place is to purchase land and setup our own homestead. On the way we would like to gain experience from other people that have established farms/homesteads.

I joined WWOOF to experience and help local and friendly farms/people who could equally in turn pass on skills and knowledge. I have always enjoyed being in nature, And feel the WWOOF family would be a wonderful way to explore new parts of WA.

I joined WWOOF to learn more about sustainable practices and lifestyles, while travelling. I am especially interested in mud brick huts ! I love everything plants. Except blackberry and stinging nettles. I love everything nature! I hope to achieve an expansion of mind and conciousness, learning new skills along the way. I am also excited to achieve connections with like minded individuals.

One reason I would love this experience is that I wish I could discover the daily life of habitants in total immersion, and improve my English as much as possible. In order to do so, I am looking for a room in a host family. In return, I am committed to be available to feed animals, to clean their box or to make gardening, babysitting or cooking, do shopping etc. I love manuels labor and take care of animals (I have 2goats, 1horse 1rabbit and 2 cats in my parent's house). I have done a lot of gargening work in my life so hard work does not bother me. I do love nature and like to work in the wild to open my mind and find peace!

We were interested in creating a more meaningful purpose to our travels, with curiosity to help others achieve their self-sustained goals, to share this with them and to learn from them.

I'm currently taking a year off from my studies of Conservation Biology. I really want to use this year to learn new skills and deepen my understanding of the land and natural processes to understand how we can work with nature rather than against it. I'm very excited to learn these new skills, make connections and help out in any way with the fantastic work you do.

I've taken holidays before but I have never travelled for long periods of time working along the way which is why I think WWOOF would be the perfect challenge for me to not only learn about the wild yet freeing outback but also myself. I'm eager to learn about horses, snakes (although those two arn't the best combo), Australian survival skills, regenerative farming and all sorts of life learning lessons (including crazy card games).

I am wanting a tree change. Tired of the city life. I also want to see some of this great country and give back to the backbone of this country. My plan is to have no fixed address for awhile. I have had a desire to work on farms for a long time and now is the time to make that move. I want to learn a whole lot of new skills and put those skills to use by helping out our farmers. I want to develop my skills so I can farm sit, part time caretaker etc. I like Rural Aid’s Farm Army and Farm Rescues, I would love to assist more I'm looking to meet so many interesting and fabulous people and Wwoofing seem like a great way to do that. I'm wanting life to not be predictable and not the same #%*! different day kina of thing. I want new people, new landscape, new horizons, new challenges

I have joined WWOOF as I am looking for farms to live and work on that are organic and chemical free. I do feel I have a lot of experience with general handy man/ maintenance work, conventional gardening, horticulture, etc but I am looking to learn more about seasonal permaculture gardening, being fully sustainable off your own land, off grid living.

I joined so I can meet and learn from others who have more experience living lightly on the land than I do currently. I hope the experience will give me guidance in knowing where to put my energies in terms of my future work. I’m also excited to meet new people and be welcomed into someone else’s home. To experience life outside my nuclear family, to see how others live, to appreciate new habits, models and lifestyles that will broaden my horizons and my understanding of what is possible for me at this point in my life. Most of all I just want to spend some time in some beuatiful rural environments, working outdoors, keeping fit and learning as many new skills as I can.

I’m joining WWOOF because it will allow me to experience life in a rich manner. It will allow me to become more in touch with the earth and the things that really matter to me: living clean and healthy, working hard, making friends, giving back.

I managed WWOOFers who visited the Yoga Centre where I lived. I really enjoyed hosting them and everyone I meet who has WWOOFed has positive, great stories of their experiences. I figured it is my time now, to explore and experience WWOOFing. Allergic to Cats.

Our plan, since we bought the Philippines farm in 2016, has been to return once or twice a year to steadily improve things and plant more fruit trees in readiness for retirement in a few years time. Obviously, our plans have been upset a little in recent times and we are reconsidering our options. I started a permaculture course a couple of years ago with Geoff Lawton and have visited Zaytuna Farm for open days twice. I haven't yet completed my Permaculture Design Course, partly because of work commitments, but would really love to get it finished one day. Our intention now is to see some more of Queensland at least, maybe further afield even while learning more skills that we can implement on our farm, when and if we are able to travel to Philippines again. We are still currently working in Brisbane but I decided to join WWOOF to keep my options open in these crazy times. Our current plan would be to start travelling early in 2022. We are both looking forward to meeting like minded fellow Permies to learn as much as we can. We are both hard workers (although I have a few extra kilos to work off after sitting at a desk for too many years, so the first couple of weeks may be tough for me :-)) and I'm sure we can bring a range of skills that would benfit your situation.
