Hi Guys thanks for dropping by and checking out our profile. We are a family of 4 with two young girls Harper is 6 and Ivy is 3 and we train horses from our property in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley at the base of the Blue Mountains just an hour and a bit from Sydney. We are situated 15 minutes to the picturesque towns of Richmond and Windsor which both have train stations with trains running every 30 minutes that run to the city and Bondi Beach. You will have your own modern self contained cabin with TV, kitchen, ensuite bathroom and barbecue facilities as well as all food supplied. You are able to cook your own meals as well as share meals with us so vegetarians and people with special diets are welcome. The work involves caring for horses, gardening, ride-on mowing, fencing and general farm work. You do not need to have experience with horses to enjoy your time here just a great attitude and an interest in learning how to care for horses or work on a farm as are those who like to work and enjoy the outdoors. There are lots of different jobs that you can do, the main thing is you will need a good attitude and a sense of humour as well as a willingness to learn, and get involved. For the right people the work is fun and varied with plenty of time to relax. We are happy to to pick you up and drop you off at the train station. There are mountain bikes that you are welcome to use if you want to explore the area or make your own way into town or the local shops. Kurrajong Village is only a short ride away and has great cafes and amazing pizza. There are also miles of trials backing onto the farm perfect for walking and mountain biking with plenty of native wildlife such as wallabies and wombats to see.

I joined WWOOF to see more of Australia and its true landscape outside of the cities. I would also love to see the agricultural industry and help give something back to Australia as a country. I feel like this line of work would suite me perfectly and I am very excited to get started.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF, because I´m interested in learning about alternative methods of farming than in Germany. Near my home town there are a few organic farms, where it is interesting to find out how they work. These farmers told me about WWOOF and recommended that I contact the organisation when I am in Australia. In these times I think it is important that organic farming methods gets exchanged, so that we can profit from each other.

Reasons: First of all, I love nature. I want to go to different places, experience different scenery, so as to rediscover this lovely world. Secondly, I yearn for voluntary work. Actually I did volunteer work in guilin, China last summer vacation. During volunteering, I made many good friends, broadened my horizon and broadened my horizon. Therefore, I want to have the experience of volunteering for the second time. Thirdly, I want to experience the culture and scenery on the other side of the w

Why did I join ? I suppose i just came across the site and it felt right to. After a difficult start I found that the best way to find who I am to the extent I need - I need to do something like this. Learning all I can about anything I can in regards to sustainability and living how I've felt a calling to for longer than i can remember. I guess i joined cause i wanna help and live a more fulfilling life doing it. Being a lover of working with my hands and getting dirty - I don't want to spend my younger years sitting on a couch waiting for the regret to come.
