We joined WWOOF because we are on working holiday visas and would like to do 88 days of regional work so that we can stay in Australia for a second year. We think volunteer work is a great way to do this!

Skills I Want to Learn:
Because I think I can experience many new things that I have never done before. I want to try and learn some new jobs at WWOOF. Also I want to experience real Australian life. I think WWOOF will allow me that. And I’m interested in taking care of animals.

Skills I Want to Learn:
To visit other farms. We would like to learn new skills that we have not yet learned. We have visited one farm with other WWOOFers and it is enjoyable. It is a good community where you can meet people from different countries. We have met French and German so far.

Along with my general inclination towards sustainable living, I have an interest in soil ecology (i.e. interactions between mycorrhizal fungi <--> microbiome <--> trees) and its applications in sustainable agriculture. I have been considering WWOOFing for some time and I finally got the push I needed amidst recent events relating to the bushfires and COVID-19. I find myself with a lot of free time and I have decided to take the opportunity to pursue my interest in ecology more deeply. I aim to do this by helping out at your biodynamic or permaculture farm and learning as much as I can about the process of caring for and maintaining the health of that micro-ecosystem. I hope this application is not too late to be considered! I would love to stay with a host for at least a couple of weeks, ideally more, sometime between April and August (up until my visa expires). I can help with picking, planting and anything else that might be required. I have 2 years of experience as a farmhand at a berry farm where I worked during the summers in Canada. I picked and packaged blueberries, elderberries and pumpkins as well as assisted in grafting, pruning and weeding. Anything I haven't done, I learn really quickly! Thanks so much for considering me as your WWOOFer!

I am interested in natural life and natural foods. I think it is easier to find people who are interested in nature as same as me.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I choose wwoofing because even if I changed my project, I want to be able to help people with everything I can. For me, living with families, in a farm or not, will be a good way to learn about the culture of the country, the people who lives here and be able to visit the area. I want to learn, so if you have a little bit of time and patience, I'm ready for anything !

WWOOF has been on my radar since my university days but the timing never quite worked. Now that I'm in Indonesia and have more flexibility, I'm excited about making it happen. Looking forward to the opportunity to learn about part of the world that I've never been to and build lasting relationships with new friends.
