We joined to be able to experience the life of organic farmers across this country. We reckon it would be a nicer way to see Australia by going from property to property and helping out and learning along the way, on how everyone does their different types of farming, rather than towing a caravan from town to town, and saying you have travelled Australia.

I'm from Sydney and would like to travel around NSW in my uni break. I also would like to learn new skills used in organic farming. So I thought WWOOF would be the perfect opportunity to combine these two things 🙂

We are a young couple rebuilding a small organic market garden on an intentional community. Green Shovel Farm is in recovery after being burnt out in the recent fires (YES THIS MEANS YOU CAN QUALIFY FOR 2ND/ 3RD YEAR VISA HERE!) and we were selling a good amount of produce at a local farmer's market and to some friends and family. We have a sheep and a goat, two horses, assorted ducks and chickens, and a toddler daughter. We live on an intentional community which is in its early years and growing well. The community is on 210 acres of amazing bushland, cliffs and rolling hills in the Nymboida village next to the Nymboida River (check out the white-water adventure stuff online!). Pick up and drop off from Grafton or Coffs Harbour with prior notice.

I joined because I wanted to travel but wasn't sure how to, and when I called Beyond Blue for help today he literally suggested work while travel opportunities such as this one and I thought wow working on farm sounds fun. What I hope to achieve is making new connections that are meaningful I'm not just there to work for money but to connect and learn. I'd also love to work with animals as well especially horses!

We almost bought a house this summer. But instead, we dared, sold our household, and are about to head of to a year of nature's adventures, friends making, bon fires and farm work. Joining as WWOOFers allows us to combine all those. We are eager to learn everything there is about growing your own produce and energy-efficient housing and animal keeping. Our plan is to travel, disconnect, reset and eventually start creating our own little farm. Along the way we seek fun and meaningful experiences. We are tolerant, trusting and respectful and expect the same in return. We strive in well structured and easy-going households within a vibrant community and a quite private place for solitude. If you say “hell yes” to us – hit that button and message us. We’ll reply within 3 days. Travel plan (roughly) Leaving VIC in October, heading to NSW and then returning to VIC before heading west. VIC: October '21 – December '22 NSW: October '21 – November '22 SA: November '21 – February '22 TAS: December '21 – February '22 WA: February '22 – April '22 NT: April '22 onwards QLD: April '22 onwards

I've been working. with permaculture professionally all over the world, and have just returned this year after 31 years living overseas (mostly India and various parts of Europe). Having designed for so many others, finally it's time again to design our own place (my wife Francesca is an Italian agronomist), and build another house (the old one is in the rainforest we planted and in need of restoration as a guest house. We're planting an extensive food forest of hugely diverse species, to add to what remains of the original forest garden, as well as extensive vegetable gardens for our own kitchen, for friends and guests. This whole land, shared with two others, is a remarkable arboretum of mainly Australian rainforest species, and there are kilometres of footpaths all over the land, giving access to most of the most beautiful parts of it. One boundary is over a kilometre of stunning rainforest creek, there is a large pond on the land, and the views of the world heritage national parks and caldera of the ancient volcano are spectacular. We eat very well, having an international cooking capacity; we are not extreme, but cook only vegetarian food generally.

I own 25 acres of steep, rocky land in W Tree in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Over almost 35 years I have built (with considerable help) a lovely passive solar mudbrick house, planted crazy numbers of trees, gardened and raised my wonderful son. In many ways I have worked towards a dream from my early 20's to build a country life. My place is lovely. The vast expanse of bushland that surrounds it is beyond spectacular.   We can Sign off on your 2nd Year Visas as we were effected by the 2019-2020 Bushfires.

Belted Galloway cattle farm in the southern highlands. We milk these cows, too - they love to be patted. We also raise chickens for breeding and eggs, have a Permaculture veggie garden, and have just planted hazelnut trees. We are at our next stage of bushfire recovery having completed fencing and felling some trees. There are many tasks still to do even though it has rained and looks green. We need to expand the permaculture areas, constant weeding, pruning fruit trees, planting bare rooted vines and transplanting fruit trees. We also maintain a small wildlife reserve on part of the farm and look at grasses to make sure that the wombats we co-exist with have enough to eat. Volunteer tasks include feeding chickens, tending veggie garden, moving cattle to strip graze, milking cows (in non drought situations), weeding, collecting firewood, composting & worm farming. Accomodation for 2 within our home. Shared meals, all cook together. Mixed diet. Vegetarians & vegans catered for. Children b.a. No smoking on property. Initial stay 12-14 days. Longer stays negotiable.

I am currently in Hong Kong, would like to be a WWOOFer once Australia’s borders open. I hope to stay in different farms for 2 weeks or 1 month to know how they operate the farm and how they deal with challenges.

I have basic knowledge of nutrition and farming, I am healthy and mature with good working attitude. I hope to contribute my best to the farms and gain experiences from the works. I speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin and simple Japanese. Love to meet people and make friends, I am eager to know the life story of the hosts.
