I did lots of Wwoofing when I was in New Zealand, and it was good memory. For me, through this Wwoofing, I learn so many things. And Because it's about farming or growing things, to me, it's very interesting and fun to see. Also, I can see so many different lives, and my view gets bigger and bigger.

I have always wanted to be involved with WWOOFing and known about it for years, but I never had a good chance to do it. Now I'm in Australia, one of the most fruitful lands with heaps of people who know about good methods of sustainable healthy gardening. I want to get involved so much!

Retired at the end of 2020, sold or gave away most of my stuff and embarked on an adventure. I travelled around Tasmania in my Toyota Hi-Ace and had intended to travel North for the Winter but settled in Tassie instead due to border restrictions. I want to have new experiences, learn new things and meet a variety of people. WWOOF sounds like a perfect way to satisfy my ambitions while also helping others. I have only ever lived in Melbourne and Brisbane for the last 52 years. Although I have been to other places including a number of other countries, I want to experience a different side to life. I want to move off the tourist trail and see how other people live and linger a bit longer to get a real feel for the places I visit.

Because we love nature and admire the rural lifestyle. And we have the spare time(weekends and 4 school holidays every year), we love travelling , exploring different lifestyle and cultures. We love plants and animals. I hope we could have this special experience, I hope my son would see more about the world and different lifestyle through different life experiences. And we might get some idea of what's it like to run a real farm and get some skills in gardening .

It seems like a better way of working while travelling than the standard way of finding work, having that monetary relationship, worrying about where to live, trying to negotiate wages and all the other humdrum stuff. It sounds like the hosts are willing to share their knowledge, know how and experiences and be friendly at the same time. A very welcome change.

I would love to continue to build my skills in gardening, permaculture and natural building, and meet interesting people along the way. I have spent some time volunteering in Ladakh on natural farming projects, and in Australia doing some natural building, and would love to explore more volunteering options that involve herb, flower and market gardens. I am also very keen to learn about beekeeping and cheesemaking.

Before making the move to the country and purchasing our own place, we would like to experience the reality of living on a small/medium hobby farm and all that comes with it - managing the veggie patch, compost, looking after animals, maintaining trees and firebreaks, roads and fencing.

It's time I started to learn how to grow things and live less from supermarkets. This has been on my mind for too long, and I think now, with what's happening with this crazy virus, it's time for me to embrace living in an alternative way.

I joined WWOOF because it's an awesome way to travel saving money while being able to help other people at their properties!

I am interested to gain greater understanding of how to live in harmony with our lands, to respect the natural balance, resilience and growth. I am recently returning to Australia and hope to visit and assist at many of the WWOOF properties. I am happy to get involved in various areas of gardens and farms, with bees and trees, to work with my hands and to continue to learn from others. In Malawi, where I lived for five years, I managed the set up of a community run garden, involving building the soil fertility to grow vegetables in sandy soil, mushroom production, fruit and hardwood tree nurseries and poultry farming.

To meet new people and doing purposeful work. I also like exchanging knowledge and discovering best practices. I am seeking out environmentally-conscious living-spaces and workplaces that promote better health for humans and the planet in general.

To learn more about living sustainably, to explore Australia and to connect with like-minded people. We want to learn more about organic gardening. Ideally we’d love to volunteer for a family or community that also has children so that they can be together. We would like our children to be part of the activities and events . Our family are looking to volunteer with likeminded, hardworking people who share a passion for mother nature, connection, family and traversing the ups and downs of life. We are ready to work ASAP and happy to stay on for a while if it works of all.

I have a break from work as I am leaving Brisbane and driving to Adelaide. I have no set time to be there. I love nature and I would love to learn how to grow organic vegetables as I wish to grow my own in the future. I love animals and being outdoors. I am not scared of a bit of hard work either. I was told about WWOOF from a friend and loved the idea as soon as I heard about it. I didn't realise this was something available to people with no farming experience. So I am taking advantage of my free time to go on a new adventure. I would be honoured to help out someone on their farm in exchange for knowledge and experience.

Kate became a WWOOFer back in 2018 where she spent a month working at Buena Vista farm in Gerringong, NSW. She retired her WWOOFing boots early to head to Darwin for a great job role. We are both very keen to learn different farming styles, learn about growing and harvesting fruit and vegetables, and working with animals. Kate is very interested in growing and harvesting medicinal plants!
